You sure she isn’t just in the same personally designed fake reality, as every other human with an alien in them? You really believe she’s the only person who killed a few of them, who had a very traumatic life, that was interesting to the top tier aliens in the ships?

@@CorbCorbin I think it was like Elvis said, the aliens were able to study Love, death, hate, and so on. She could have been immediately hypnotized and only saw what she wanted to, but I like the idea that a human was so powerful, aliens needed to let them go.

Its like they saw this murderous, dirty, stinky, feral human and went "That one. Thats this planets mascot now" and built her a pretty little enclosure to live in. And she's cool with it because its loads better than the enclosure she was trapped in before! Win win for both of them, honestly. Pity about the rest of humanity tho😅

I interpreted the ending being that the aliens saw that she always felt “alienated” in her own community and she wasn’t fighting to stop them but rather to just save herself. And they kept her alive bc they were the only ones to ever fully understand her. We see her living a normal life now with the aliens bc of the fact that they understand her more then the humans who lived there before

@@SwiftNimblefoot I mean, given the presumed fate of the rest of humanity (mind-controlled/hive-minded by parasites, with maybe a handful living parasite-free but heavily monitored like Brynn), I'd say that this is still a very bleak ending, even if Brynn is happy with her new existence.

I think is not cause she can fight and k1ll them, but because she was able to resist the parasite in her neck and even remove it by herself. Also, when the parasite of her recieve her body clone and try to k1ll her, she even stay there with him in de4th, showing that she's not k1lling cause she wanted but to survive. As they see her empatize with one of them, they also decide to try to uderstand her. Until that moment in the ship, both of the species coundnt communicate with each other, they use clicks and we use words. So, in that moment they got in her mind they could share the feelings and see that se feel emotions like then decided to keep her alive as an pet.

Another funnier reason they sent her back. They lost 3 aliens and multiple parasites. Then they see that she killed her best friend. Knowing all of that they realize that she's just a menace they can't control her. So they sent her back and made everyone be nicer to her. Just to keep her away from them.

Like how ancient civilizations would offer up sacrifices to appease a God that would destroy them otherwise. "HI, so you have killed several of our people, a parasite, and, surprisingly, your own clone. We have seen your memories and realize you are a menace that we can't control, but aren't bad enough to deserve being jettisoned into space, so, will you leave us alone to do our thing if we, like, come and clean your house everyday and act nicely toward you? That would be great"

I watched it yesterday following this review and didn't like it at all. She doesn't seem to have any special ability, so why did she manage to kill so many aliens and parasites while the rest of the town couldn't? Don't know. Why did the aliens fail or refuse to use telekinesis or any kind of weapons directly against her? Don't know, only the first alien uses TK to bring her close and that's it. Why the little alien and the spider alien waited for her to run when they had multiple chances to either catch her or rip her to pieces? Don't know, like when the little alien uses its claws to destroy the door, but never uses them on her despite having ample chances to do so. She is just the main character and has a ridiculous amount of plot armor, and that's it. I also found it difficult to root for a character that is shown to hit her best friend with a rock to the face just because she pushed her to the ground. She was 12 back then, not 3! That was murder, and she got away with it just because she was below the legal conviction age. The movie shows too much too early to be a horror movie, with all the chases and attacks being massively telegraphed, so instead it ended up being a convoluted action movie of a run-of-the-mill unarmed uptown girl against a full-scale alien invasion which she somehow manages to survive so that the movie can happen. Finally, at times the soundtrack was completely dissassociated with the film, as if the composer didn't watch the movie and made a generic score that doesn't match some scenes at all. TBH this movie sucked for me.

This movie makes me think of the old proverb "the child that is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth." And while Brynn didn't burn the village down herself, she was definitely happy about it and I don't believe her mind was altered by the aliens, they were just the first to empathize with her. I kinda thought that the actual alien was the parasite thing and the grey's were just bodies made to use as hosts for them, they can create new grey's and humans almost instantly. They make a new grey for one of the parasites to jump inside of, they make a human to kill the main girl. Even the grey aliens at the end of the movie that were looking into the girl's mind had parasites in their neck that were vibrating when they spoke to eachother, the same way that the humans neck vibrated when they were takin over. The mailman that was takin over by the parasite on the bus even moved the same way as the big long leg/arm alien later in the movie, when they flipped over on their back they shot back up and started running upside down like a crab, seemed significant to me, that the director was trying to show that the grey aliens were hosts for the parasite the same way as the humans were.

I got the feeling that they just needed to stop her spreading the word because the invasion was still in motion. I also really thought that the parasites WERE the invading aliens, looking for new hosts, and the grey guys were just their last hosts. Two different species, one of which was just a puppet. I felt really sorry for the grey guys, like "Aw, they were just victims too!" I think I was wrong tho😅
@pexeforad4gua

@@WynneL I also notice that the aliens look like they don't want to kill her too, they seens more curious than violent, but they being unable to communicate in any way shape or form, results and them fighting. also, even if you are taken by the parasite they give you a dream like state, that for most of us would be better than life.

I think the "parasites" are the actual aliens, and the gray alien bodies are just like a meat suit. The scene where the parasite is in the beam and a body starts materializing around it kinda cinched that for me. Also, the dude with a parasite on the bus scuttles and twists his head just like the grays do, implying to me that the parasite was used to a non-human body

Cool thing I thought about: The aliens kinda took a vote on what to do with her. Two of them talk about options and then they all do the same sound one after the other. The ship then kinda acted as a judge and declared it loud and clear and sent her back.

I love movies with aliens, and the idea of an alien house invasion sounds perfect for me, but I couldn't watch it anymore after around 30 minutes in. Its just silly and campy. Not what I was expecting

I didn’t really want to draw parallels but I’ve been developing an extremely similar concept for the last year…very very similar. I crowdfunded for it about a year and a half ago shot it in July of last year release a trailer. Just finished and released cause it was made and edited by me…then this movie came out of nowhere around the same time…literally almost the exactly same concept…
