Thanks Hank Got this same exact blower from our local dump. Checked for compression ✔️ Checked for fuel ✔️ it was missing spark ❌️ Ordered a coil, know it's blowing

Wanted to thank you , I watched your video, purchased the ignition coil that came with the boot from Amazon and followed all your steps and just like that it started up on the 3rd pull. Thank you so much Hank.

Excellent video! Just what I needed. You made sure to clarify little things like "righty tighty, lefty loosey). Most videos would have just taken off the bolt. That was the whole reason I looked for your video. To make sure I was going the right direction.

Thanks for this. Yea...mine just died in the middle of blowing, like I had moved the kill switch to off. Confirmed no spark. I always like to see what's involved first before I tear into it. Wow you got yours for a good price $150. HD got $199 from me back in 2013. Echo's web site shows the latest ignition coil part number as A411000502 for my ES-250. Think I'll test the coil and kill switch first so I'll know which part failed. Again thanks for your vid.

WOW! I could have sworn my switch was fully engaged. Took the switch cover off, pressed the switch a few times remounted cover and started right up after sitting for 8 days.

Nice video hank, but it seems like it would be easier to put the boot on first, like you did the gromet. Nice video though. Thanks!

What type of screws are attaching the ignition coil? I can't get mine off

So I have the older gen PB 250 with the old carb. And they are getting difficult to find. I wonder if there is simple matter of swapping out carb and maybe the throttle link would work?

I have same exact leaf blower . It starts runs for 5mins then shuts off and will not start again for about 6 hrs later . Has no spark when it does this . Do you think this is what it need ?
@hanksgarage_2 жыл бұрын
Yea that’s often an indicator of a bad coil. When they start going out that’s a symptom they start doing.

Good video BUT I changed mine and it lasted a year, broke again, now it goes in the garbage. Not worth the hassle even tho I already bought the cheap part
