It’s sad these dumbbells are not as reviewed as others. I got the 55 and it’s amazing. I picked up some 1.25lb interior magnets and I can go up in 2.5 lb increments all the way up to 57.5 lbs. These dumbbells are so smooth and legit feel like traditional dumbbells. I love the handle on them too. No rubber BS on the handle. I can’t imagine why so many people prefer and advocate for the bowflex 552 design. To me they look awful, were awkward to handle, and had horrible grips. Not sure how the mechanisms will hold up over time, but for $300, these things are totally worth it.

Thank You for this video, I ALMOST bought Bowflex 552 at Best Buy and I thought, wait a minute let me do some more research and found these. This is exactly what I'm buying now, a better price for a better item, I also looked into the PASYOU Adjustable Weight Bench because I have limited space, that plus the bands I already own, so now I should have a solid workout for my area.

Nice review. Thanks for posting! The 55lb one is the exact same design as the PRIMAL STRENGTH PERSONAL SERIES adjustable dumbbells. The Primals go up to 70lbs, but can only be bought in the UK at the moment. Had the NordicTrack with 2.5lbs increments gone to 70lbs, I'd have bought these, but, instead went for the Snode 80lbs with 4x 2.5lbs PlateMates.

FYI: The NordicTrack 50lb. dumbbells are exactly the same - rebranded, as the ProForm Rapid Strike 50 Lb. adjustable dumbbell set...and the NordicTrack 55 lb. dumbbells are exactly the same as the Weider WSAW5520 55-pound Select-a-weight dumbbell set. I have the 55lb. Weider set...GREAT dumbbells!

I bought the Nordic Track 2.5 lb adjustable dumbells. I'm returning them because I can't adjust them. They are brand new! When one introduces complexity to a mechanical system, its far more likely to fail. Just sayin'

Most likely not considering that where the plate mate would stick on to these dumbbells is plastic. Checkout micros gainz 1.25 lb plates. They go on the inside where the handles are instead of the magnets of the plate mates.
