I want to thank you for making this video… I’m 23 and graduating college in the Fall. For the past couple of years I’ve struggled to find my place in the world. For a while I would watch video essays about a lot of nostalgic stuff from my childhood (films, video games, etc from the 00s/10s). Or I’d play video games I used to love or watch media from that era. I did this as a form of escapism. And I’d spend lots of time alone. Your video came at a perfect time. Because I’m finally putting the pieces together and forming a new sense of self. And working on being more present for my family and friends. I liked your bookend to the video as well. It’s not bad to look back fondly on positive things from your youth. However, it’s dangerous to close yourself off from new experiences and use your nostalgia as a shield or bubble from the outside world.

I feel you im at exactly same situation, its better to look at future because i meaan you cant go back so and its not healthy to close yourself off from new experiences and use it as a shield from the outside world, as you said.

I can say, people are very much profiting off nostalgia, like when crts used to be thrown to the curb due to their bulkiness, or how old games for last generation consoles were a few dollars eventually, and ps2 and wii flooded thrift stores no matter if they were the best of their time or straight shovelware, everything old, was accessible, not because it was bad products, but because people moved on, to the future, now that people want to go back, prices skyrocketed even being more expensive than modern gaming, but one thing is for sure, theres no subscriptions on a n64 game, still nothing justifies the prices games have become, only resellers profit, and profit they are, i can say modern gaming especially with how far nintendo has fallen into greed and lazyness from what i remembered them for in the 3ds and wii u era and before, sony increasing the price of their online subscription, exceeding the price of a new released game just for a unchanged since the ps3 era online subscription, and xbox peaked at the early days of xbox 360, as for average life, its because the world wants us this way, not the world itself, but its rulers, the things capitalism demands, the way the planet needs exploited, the way people need treated like robots that have no other life but working and consuming, this wont stand much longer, not if everyone stops it, a better world can be had, how, i do not know, but i hope people throw down the uniforms, and the tools, and make a change for the bettering of humanity, it can be done, always power in numbers, with numbers theres more likelyhood of change, great change, if we realized what capitalism makes us believe is life, is but a lie to keep us behind everyone, and let the rulers corrupt and exploit everything on this planet, change can happen, humanity can be one, in unity, in peace, the planet can be a home for all

The long intro is a bit much and personally, the topic doesn't warrant such a serious presentation when it's an everyday event that hardly affects us after the fact.
