@@futuristicgirl14 No, we aren't. But when you get the right mix of vulnerable minds without the right influences in their lives, unfortunately, some of them are going to think that it's ok. I grew up with toxic parents and toxic grandparents and I sadly went down that same path till I finally broke out of it. I also thought twilight was so romantic as a teenager until I got older and was hit with the whiplash of reality. Obviously most people will draw the line between fantasy and reality but some won't and those are the ones I worry about ending up in a tough situation like I did. Plus, it's worse if gullible men read those books and think that's what women want in real life cuz they don't realize it's a fantasy. It's less the book's fault and more the lack of proper influences in their lives of what is and isn't appropriate.

There was a “nice guy” in my highschool. He was awkward, had tried his luck with 14 GIRLS… got rejected every time. I had just moved into the country so I was girl number 15. Confesses to me on the first day. I say no. He starts crying. LOUDLY. In the middle of the cafeteria. In front of my professors. His grandmother, my chemistry teacher, mentioned in the middle of the class that I made her grandson cry. Feeling pressured, I befriended him, but established firm boundaries that I don’t want to date him. Cue him stalking me all the way to my house, sending me love letters, telling me he wants to have babies with me (what), writing poetry about my breasts (what), telling guys we did it (what). I’m glad I have zero contact with everyone in highschool. Last thing I heard, he had tried to make out with some girl at a party. Said girl had a bf. I’m so glad I’m not in contact with anyone in highschool. What a weird time.

when Nice Guys mention "women" or "females" they never mean all women or females; they mean hot, attractive, interesting, driven women like the Angelina Jolie type. They have a specific type (which isn't bad) but when they keep getting rejected by these women for not having the same interests (ie anime) or ideologies (not sleeping together on the first 3 dates) or various other reasons, they start with this "women just don’t like nice guys" bit, ignoring women who share their interests and ideologies because they're not "hot' enough. Women love nice guys, you’re just not one of them.

Its very violating to already be treated like a fucking machine, but then you greet someone and they use your name after you DIDN'T introduce yourself! And I just know, oh you were looking at my boobs. Now you know my name, that makes me feel really safe. 🙃 I'm against name tags for retail staff in general because we're not friends, we're strangers chatting for 30 seconds. Also, I think the issues with these “nice guys” is they get mad when they can’t get a woman who they’re not even compatible with in the first place. I met a man 3 months ago that was respectful, gentle, kind, wasn't desperate for sex, (didn't even bring it up) he was a good listener and very understanding. He always treated me as his equal and our mutual respect for each other and connection made us fall in love. He also respected my boundaries and what I want in life with a partner. We are married now and I'm happy to do all I can to please him as his partner and wife. I praise him everyday and happily will do anything for him. No relationship in this life is perfect but if you try to be the best human you can be, your life will be as perfect as possible. The goal in getting a partner should never be sex or anything sexual. Treat others with kindness and respect. No means no on both sides and forcing anything makes people look desperate which isn't attractive to anyone. If you want a good woman, be a good man and don't have an "agenda" let things happen naturally in their own time.

I don't think a lot of people know what a "nice guy" is vs a Nice guy. "Nice guys" are men who only seek Anything to fulfill their lust. They never want anything serious, and complain when women don't like them. Nice guys are actually nice. They can handle rejection, and know how to treat a woman. They don't seek to fulfill their lustful urges. And are very sweet and funny people overall. Not to mention, They don't seek female validation, They are actually just like that. This is coming from a woman btw, I have seen both in my life. Edit: I forgot to add, a real nice guy never tells people they are a nice guy. Edit 2: Also, Real nice guys act the same In front of men and women. While "Nice guys" act like Mr Man's, around other men and they act like a "Nice guy" around women.

They're always using a bunch of "tactics" they picked up from some creep online, which only makes women run even more. They talk to us like we're an NPC they can romance, and they just have to figure out the right dialogue tree to go down. I hate it so much. It's incredibly dehumanizing.

@@fbiagentfrankYou do that because unfortunately freeze response is a real thing. Your mind is busy calculating the superior strength of the other person, the likelihood of a violent reaction to rejection, a total disbelief at what is happening, often complicated by a traumatic past experience. This mental panic causes the body to shut down in its responses. The freeze response is perhaps the most unfortunate response because it is the most vulnerable, but it is a natural response some people have and not a choice. It takes a lot of mental fortitude to learn to get out of it in the moment.

I’ve had a few instances of men putting their arms around me, without me even expressing interest in them beyond just being friendly. It happened even after telling those men that I’m a lesbian, for some reason they still thought it was appropriate to shoot their shot that way. In almost every instance my immediate reaction was to freeze, because I was shunted into an awkward interaction that I didn’t know how to safely exit, and while I managed to wiggle my way out of these situations eventually I still feel gross about them to this day. Lack of explicit rejection does not equate to enthusiastic consent, which is why more people need to be clearly taught about consent.
