As a former school secretary, I cannot stand parents who get mad no one answers the phone at 5pm. It's like babe I got to the school an hour before the first bell and I get to leave a half hour after the dismissal. Unless the school district is going to pay me overtime, I am out. It's the parent's responsibility to know who the child is with. For instance if they are on a sports team that practices after school, they should have the coach's number. Just because stuff takes place at the school doesn't make it the schools responsibility. 💅🏻
@luwildy5 ай бұрын
So the adults responsible for our kids for 8 hours have no responsibility to make sure they get home? This is exactly why I homeschool. Children need to be with people who care for their well-being not just the money they get for being there. If you don't care about the well being of children get into a different industry. I'm a teacher as well and I make sure every goddamn kid walks out with a parent before I leave. Even if I'm not getting paid because that is someone's BABY.

@@PennyGray-2 I agree. Many parents refuse to believe their child ever does anything wrong. And to be fair, your parents not believing you and siding with others against you must be one of the most traumatizing experiences if you are telling the truth while others are lying, so I can imagine parents being reluctant to risk doing that and therefore defaulting to believing their own child. But in this case, it being a small town, I cannot help but believe that most people would be aware of the characters of the local kids and knowing who would be capable of spreading malicious lies. If kids who do not generally do that are claiming SA took place, you need to take it seriously, even if it is a nightmare scenario because your own flesh and blood is being accused. The safety of others should be your prime concern.

A mother can't "allow" her son to assault women, and they don't. A lot of men who abuse girls were abused themselves, and it's not always the mom's "fault" or that she didn't teach her son how to behave. Some guys need help and therapy or medication to change but they never receive it or they don't ask. It can have little to do with parenting, depending on the situation. Not to mention, a lot of mothers are unaware of their son's behavior when they aren't with them, and if they hear rumors about their son's actions, it can be really difficult to believe their baby boy did that to the point that some mothers simply can't believe it even with evidence. It's their child and hearing they did something so heinous can be impossible to accept, especially if they have a manipulative son who knows exactly how to play their parents.

In response to what the babysitter said - that is a MAJOR red flag that this child either witnessed or was a victim of SA himself. And if the behavior was never corrected then it would be no surprise that as he grew up he went on to assault those poor girls. I don’t trust her to raise and protect her kids or anyone else’s kids.
@Danap-mykaykat6 күн бұрын
Considering the way the mom acts, I wouldn’t be surprised if she gave him a tablet/phone to be a “cool mom” when he was young and neglected to chaperone him, so he’s probably been brain rot with not so kid friendly videos online that start with “step bro help I’m stuck in the drier”. And if it *was* brought up by a concerned adult, it was probably excused as “Boys are just like that” instead of taking accountability for her poor parenting. Seen it happen too many times, a lot of mom’s (especially boy moms) are egocentric and even when you bring an actual concern to them they take it as an attack on their being and actively reinforce and encourage their child’s poor behavior and patterns as a form of rebellion against the concerned party.

5:29 hi. I was a 911 dispatcher for five years in a rural area. We would frequently run out of cars to run calls in the towns/“cities” (honestly they aren’t big enough to be called cities, but yeah). That being said, if it is a life threatening emergency we absolutely will send someone out of jurisdiction to handle the call until an officer within that jurisdiction clears up. So for example: Atown is in Bee County, and a call comes in for 123 John St in Atown for an assault with injuries, but all the officers for Atown PD are handling other calls. We as dispatchers will send a Bee County deputy to handle the call and begin initial report-taking until an Atown PD officer is available. We will also have EMS and first responders staging (basically means close to the scene but far enough away to not be in danger) for when law enforcement says there’s no active threat. If we have EMS staging, they are dedicated to that call until it is determined that they are not needed. There is no way in hell a dispatcher would say “sorry don’t have anyone good luck”. Even in a couple counties near where I worked, they’d ask for our deputies to run calls because they didn’t have anyone to send. That’s why a lot of counties and municipalities have mutual aid agreements with neighboring areas.

I seriously love the room in the background of coopers videos like it’s just so put together with the paintings and vines, and it’s so pretty to look at

The way she talks makes me angry for some reason? Just the cadence of her voice and the way she keeps blinking weirdly. I don't know, it feels uncanny or something.
