Holy cow, such a dramatic decrease in road quality directly across the Russian - Mongolian border. Can't wait to see how you handle this, alone. Made me wonder if a lighter bike would be able to make this trip, then I read about Mondo Enduro, but that was a group of riders on DR350's. Beautiful work, Oisin.

Oisin, just re watching your video blog, I had to laugh as at 9.22mins that fuel station I stopped there in my RTW in 2013, its not there now, just the pump and no hoses WTF.....I thought, I got to Tashanta and into Mongolia on fumes. As for the Altai I agree with you what a gorgeous place, I could have stayed there for longer. Keep the vids coming mate, And if anyone reading this has not yet bought a copy of any of his books, do yourself a favour, buy today, you won't regret it. Cheer to you Oisin, Greg

Graham S Morning Graham, back in Ireland for the foreseeable in County Laois. I've no plans to put them onto a DVD or anything like that - but will try and get the revised episodes up at a rate of 1 every 2 weeks if I can - cheers Graham

gr8 videos oisin, just finshed watching them, do your books give more information about the costings of each day, like ferry costings, how much you spent on hotels food ext, am gussing it cost you around £16,000 not including the price of the bike or gear, thats just fuel lodgings unexpected problems and shipping costs ???
@TheBigFella
@TheBigFella 9 жыл бұрын
mary mutherfukingpoppings yep - in the back of the books i go through the numbers - in the FAQ question. Your not too far off on the calculation. Getting out of Magadan and South Korea were the big costs - the Pan American is a much cheaper run

That bike is just too big for a mess like that. You would be so much better off with a bike that weighs like 300lbs or less.
