I own several watches priced over $10,000, ranging from Rolex to Patek Philippe, but I also have a deep appreciation for watches like Laco's pilot and Seiko's casual. Thanks to the introduction from this channel, I ended up purchasing the Blue Planet 2. As a traveler of this planet, I find it impossible not to love this watch.

It is definitely eye-catching. Looks really interesting. It's not the kind of watch that I would buy for myself, but I absolutely respect it and I'm glad to hear it did well in the market.

I gave your first review of this watch quite a scathing tongue-lashing as I recall. Since then I must admit that I've warmed to it and this new model is a great improvement. My son's 20th birthday will soon be upon us and he has shown quite an appreciation of watches over the past couple of years. I like this watch sufficiently that I will most probably buy him one for his birthday. Thanks Joe. I wish you and your family peace and a happy, healthy new year .

If someone were to 3D print a metal clasp kit that turns the top into a pocket chain loop and fills the bottom to reintegrate the shape, it would be a perfect pocket watch for the gentlemen who still enjoy such things.

Dear Nekkid Watchmaker 👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! I'm astounded about myself that I like the model with the gold best. Unfortunately I cannot afford something like this and I don't wear wrist watches (because I always destroy those unintentionally, sigh). But with a cover/lid and something to put on a nice chain, this hemisphere watch would make a great pocket watch. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all of you.

Totally agree, look at some of the other watches in the 2021 Challenge category, Behrens B023 or the DWISS M3 are equally or more novel than the Blue Planet, they just lack the mention of covid and platitudes in their description.

Ciga is such a unfortunate name for us in slavic lands, as "ciga" is slang for cigarette. Ciga Design sounds to us as if two manual workers with cigarettes in mouth are trying to figure out why those two walls they just built aren't at right angle. But, since we slavs live in wrong hemisphere, we were not target audience, obviously. Still, a nice watch.

This is a cool watch at a very achievable price! I think that they made the right decisions in the Gen II version - the planet looks more like a sphere, the numerals are more legible, and the polished finish does look more premium. Good job, CIGA! Now, if they would come out with the ceramic version in black...

I'm not saying it's an ugly watch , the attention to detail is very good , the watch is also not that expensive at 1200$ . What I am saying is that the majority of the watches on their website look extremely similar to 20$ watches I've seen on AliExpress. So maybe wait a few more years before bitting this bullet Also love the videos , if you ever get the chance would love to see how a bulova movement ticks

Very pretty watch! Although I’m disappointed that despite it being proudly Southern Hemisphere they left New Zealand off. I mean, we’re totally used to it and all and I guess they could argue there’s not even all of Australia on there but if they are looking at your comments I’d just like to wave the flag around a bit just in case they want to issue a variety of landmasses to widen their sale appeal 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿

I bought the 1st generation model & have to say that I found it difficult to tell the time with it. The increased size of the indices is a huge improvement to the watch. If you're thinking of buying one, I can definitely vouch for the quality of the watch, it's beautifully finished.

The Blue Planet is the only version of Ciga watch I don't own. I don't know why but there was just something about the original that didn't do it for me, quite possibly because it was so flat. This version has made me think again, thanks Joe for fuelling my Ciga addiction 😂

Happy new year all. These watches are not my cup of tea, but that is a good thing as it would not do if we all liked the same things. I can still appreciate the work that goes into these watches and it is by pushing the boundaries that improvements and innovations can trickle down into watches for the benefit of all
