Chuck ! My Thai wife and I have been following your channel for years 👨👩. Thanks for all the info and advice. Based on your recommendations, we visited Krabi and Udon Thani. We were just in Udon Thani Feb 16-19. We stayed at the Banbua Grand Udon on the same street as the Irish Clock and Morning House. I had 2 massages at Sotara. Occasionally my wife will go visit her family for a few days and I’ll enjoy my alone time. Every healthy relationship needs this. I lost 30 Lbs just eating once a day. I ate anything I wanted and as much as I wanted for that one meal. I hate exercise but I do walk. Now that the weight is off I’ll occasionally eat 2 meals. Eat less live longer. Now that my much younger wife is pregnant after 13 years of marriage and no prior success on that front, a daughter, I need to make sure I’m around a long time.

Social media comments sections are some of the most divisive places one can hang out. I do the best I can to present myself as neutral, even though I have very strong opinions. Not worth debating with random folks online. I save deeper conversations for real life. You do a great job “walking the line.” Appreciate that.

We bought our tickets by the way, arriving in BKK march 20, Flying to Ubon Ratchathani march 22, gonna hang 4-5 days there with My wifes family then heading to Chiangmai to work on getting our house rented out. It would be cool to catch up for a beer here or there. For sure we are gonna do an island somewhere on the trip since we aren't flying home till April 22.....

I know it's just a cartoon but the best advice I've heard about loosing weight was Family Guy when he said to his daughter "put down the fork", I've gone from being a type2 diabetic struggling with lowering my blood sugar at 100kg, to 75kg & cruising now. It's all a simple portion thing just don't eat as much but eat more often, sounds simple but it's a case of retraining your stomach it takes time & will power. Wish I could do the same with cigarettes... LOL.

As we all get older our stomach makes less acid to process what we consume, so ingesting fried foods especially fried meat is sometimes not tolerated and so your overall reaction is a negative one. No I am not an MD however I am an old guy who has looked into this thoroughly so if you eat a fried food and consume a lot of drink with that food you are possibly washing away the helpful acid attempting to break down that food. Just food for thought my man. I do enjoy your content, live and let live.

Actually, when I retired, I was working with The Executive Office of the White House. I saw three administrations and they really cared nothing about the American people.

Chuck (& Paige) keep being a libertarian (small 'l' ... large is optional). I consider myself the same description with 'friends' fitting a wide range of descriptions. I enjoy your videos and the fact that you (and your friends ... I was going to assume that Paige would be included but I'm going to say Paige too) are very chill. I do hope that I will be able to eventually meet you and Paige (but I won't be offended if it doesn't happen ... because well both of us are too busy and have other things going on to give a s^!t). Chuck, no one ever talks about those problems. As visitors we need to know what to expect. Even tho you may not think we want to hear it we really do. It's those things we need to avoid. Like weather to drink to drink the local tap water. Are we going to get Montezuma's Revenge etc.

Yes it is a good question and would be a big problem if people where getting sick from ice. It would be a well known concern if a country like Thailand could not make filtered water for ice factories. Would only take another company to have a filter system to put the other out of business. I know I think a little different...

In Most counties if someone says a comment about ones personal life they respond back to the comment. does everyone there have to just keep quiet if someone says something to them? Do you feel if I respond back it is because I am rude? Most All people don't think the same. My videos are about sharing our lives. Not telling anyone how to live there's. To disagree at moments of my lifestyle is normal, or everyone would live the same way. My reply's are forward as well so we should at least relate some....

I was in Thailand before covid and wanted to visit it again but my flight was canceled because of covid. After covid I went back to Indonesia where my wife lives. We both want to visit Thailand again. Next year I move to Indonesia and sure will visit Thailand again. Keep doing what do and stay positive always. Hope you and yours always be happy and healthy. I hear ya but you say its why you like thailand. I don't let anyone tell me what to think or do. Do you really get hurt by seeing someone else say what they believe? I'm not a trump fan. I'm not a biden fan but when TRump was a year in, I posted 135 posts in a month, and one was negative about trump. My best friend unfriended me. I didn't know that he had done that till he messaged me and I looked and saw that he had unfriended me. I asked him why and he said he didn't like that I badmouthed his hero. I was really pissed off. Especially when he would actually intentionally send me direct messages on messinger shit talking my choices of who I voted for... Like 20-30 times. Later I thought about it and our whole relationship over 40 years, I've always been the understanding one of the two of us and he's always been self centered and hypocritical. I got over it. My choice was to lose a friend of get past it. I got past it. I miss the pre-internet times when he would call me and ask my opinion because I read. Now he's a genius because of the internet...lol My opinion is still useful as his is. The last time we had a serious political conversation he said that he doesn't want to hear the other side of politics. Sorry man, I gotta call bullshit on that as I told him, my opinions aren't based on my brain just thinking in a vacuume. I am who I am because of arguments, not because everyone agrees with me. That would be limiting. Just a thought.
