So proof's answer to the diss from Fuzz was this song? Everyone would have just dissed back but Proof decided to make a touching piece refering to their friendship. In every hook he questions what went wrong with them. A good friend will never fight you back remember that...

By some twisted irony, ALL people who had anything to do with creation of this track called "Life" are currently dead: Proof - mc Dilla - beatmaker Miles Davis - a piano sample from his iconic joint KIND OF BLUE was used by Dilla Bill Evans - pianist that performed the music from said sample Not to mention Xxxtentacion, who used this beat in his song. Life is all about death after all, huh?

[Verse 1] Magnificent, it been evident with this microphone He been my ace boon coon, then again I might be wrong I felt myself parting with who I started with Fuck the skills, this is all from the heart and shit This life I live, fighting and shooting It’s polluting my mind, but I turned out fine We used to strangle and smash, mangle and blast Although we was opposites we was Tango & Cash But it ain’t gonna last We was equals with the lyrics Whatev's homes, It ain’t your skin tone, it's in your spirit, hear it First, I’m your boy since way back We all fought the wheel of fortune, but don’t say jack When you turned your back on your crew Who was down with you? Looking Tice in a woody Tune to your hoodie I’m from the Mob but not the Goodie The name is Dirty Dozen, never meant to see your footie So don’t step and wear it out I’m calling you, was sold in the moon So comprehend, the message I send F-R-I to the friend, a friend to the end let’s begin [Hook] Where did we go wrong We were so strong Unified, but now we no long This is yo' song Now ask yourself where did we go wrong I wanna know where did we go wrong [Verse 2] It was simple mathematics, you needed money, not loyalty We got allegiant but you sparked trees and in the royalty We was Batman and Robin, you was more like Robin and Batman So affirmative action was needed, that’s why I deleted And proceeded to heat it To other peoples minds through your ears So clear, you was closer than my old lady Remember that; you industry rule four thousand and eighty Can’t trust you but got no love so heed that Retro yesterdays so don’t give me no feedback His wildest actions made my whole brain pause You was sell-out, cause you sold out my whole cause Ain’t got no beef with you but I hope to sleep with you Don't sell yourself to be your inspirer Peace to deep admirer, that said life ain’t to be fair And your true friends, in the end will be there (Was that you?) [Hook] Where did we go wrong We were so strong Unified, but now we no long This is yo' song Now ask yourself where did we go wrong I wanna know where did we go wrong Where did we go wrong We were so strong Unified, but now we no long This is yo' song Now ask yourself where did we go wrong I wanna know where did we go wrong [Verse 3] 5 Ela for life, inked in my flesh Life was so fast, you could damn near blink to death Let me think the rest Jay Dee, good luck and shit Try your best to not go out and get fucked and shit Yo, we been real since day one, no feelings to hide Although that player shit had me angered inside Ride with my goons trick tick, never changed up Got out of hand, death wish will make your brain bust We on the same stuff the stucky that's out by Keep it real with the faith and don’t doubt my guy And to undertake a death for life again, you won’t like it when I strike again So say my name up on your mic again And Fuzz, you just ain’t got the look to laugh If I'm a bitch nigga, then your bitch nigga done whooped your ass You just another leech, hanging by my testicle Beast to [Zana?], he'll tell ya I’m a spectacle Best to flow, mic defense not the link but with 50 flow and Yo ass is grass niggas, and I’m the lawnmower Flamethrower, make it hot this year Hittin' on ya player hater niggas, flex this here And to styles and this shit Never sacrifice a true dog over a bitch Over a bitch Never sacrifice a true dog over a bitch [Hook] Where did we go wrong We were so strong Unified, but now we no long This is yo' song Now ask yourself where did we go wrong I wanna know where did we go wrong Where did we go wrong We were so strong Unified, but now we no long This is yo' song Now ask yourself where did we go wrong I wanna know where did we go wrong [Outro] Ay yo, this is dedicated... to those...

I bet EM and Dilla got some songs and maybe an album we just haven't heard it yet, probably in the vault. I remember that EM would go over there for beats and it would be at a specific time everytime he went to Dilla's or something like that. RIP PROOF AND RIP DILLA!!!

I did a interview with Slum V & Frank Nitt, they said they met Em, but I don't think Em got to make any music with Dilla. He wasn't part of the click like that. Proof and Dilla knocked some joints out before Em blew up. Royce Da 5'9 didn't too any music with Dilla either.

***** I've seen some people around Jay Dee use it, and if you talk to Waajeed, Houseshoes ++, ask them how much of Eminem they actually saw in the D? Proof was cool with the whole Dilla camp, I really don't think Em was down like that. I don't think Dilla liked Eminems music or his approach to music in general. And that line was obviously a diss, tell me what else it could have been?

Pull your head out of your ass and look past the BET channel. So sick of this "self-loathing hip-hop fan" bullshit! Hip-hop goes on without the approval of the Drakes, Minajs, and Flockas. Shitty, self-involved, rap has existed long before the modern genre. Find a way to look past it, cause the weather is great down here.
@VeganStrong

Miles Davis i don't watch tv or listen to the radio, but you're dead ass worng, either way. what shitty, self-involved rap existed before the modern influx? when i did watch tv back in the 80s and 90s, mainstream rap did not have nearly as much bullshit as today, if any.. a fuckin' migos and young thug couldn't survive in the golden era.. it's not bullshit; it's truth. southern rap was laughed at back in the day when they tried this shit and no one considered them real rappers, until outkast, ugk, pastor troy, no limit, etc, came with the real shit.. even our so called shitty, self-involved rap, i.e. kris kross, vanilla ice, etc, was better than the trash nowadays.. check your tape deck.. if it's 80% 80s, 90s and early 2000s rappers, then you have no argument

DaliqGFX couldnt agree more with you. the radio is contaminated is artists painting negative pictures. this gives rappers and hip hop a negative stigma. artists as such have a much deeper message when you read between the lines. came across this comment while listening to a oddisee-proppa mix. we need to show the public that hiphop can spread positivity within a community and even society in general. P.S. your comment is exactly what i was thinking while listening to a mix of these non-commercial/underground artists so i had to reply and let you know that youre right on. real recognize real
