Aw i’m glad you’ve entered your chaos era! I will still be chaotic but in a different way. Having my life fully online is just stressful and I have a lot of unwanted interactions in real life. I would like to be more behind the scenes at some point. I am fine most days but on some days it gets to me. Some girl put me on the spot for my number and I kept trying to find a way to say no and she was not taking the hint and proceeded to sit down at my table where I was having lunch at a full-service restaurant.

One of the reasons I'm afraid of marriage myself is due to the fact that I get too much attention from married men in stores, in parking lots, going grocery shopping, literally doing mundane things. It's really discouraging to see so much of that, actually. Because if I ever ended up a wife, would I constantly have to worry about it then? It's like, if they're just gonna chase women after the wedding, why did they bother getting married in the first place? I know that their growing addiction to "adult media" is not helping. We are sexualized all of the time now, everywhere we go (and I'm just an average looking woman, nothing special). I'm still amazed at the amount of inappropriate attention I get sometimes. Anyway, hope I don't sound too "Debbie Downer" about this. I'm glad you had a nice day. I just feel like too many men are incapable of long term monogamy in general. They get bored and want "variety" eventually. It's part of the reason I decided to stay single several years ago. It's not that women don't cheat too, but it's usually men who will file for divorce after 40 years of marriage, leaving an older wife stranded sometimes in financial hardship. That terrifies me. (Even though I've always paid my own bills, been financially independent, etc) Men can marry younger. We can't. The irony is, now that I've sworn off men, I swear I get more attention from them now, then when I was still dating them. Go figure, heh.

This is exactly how I feel. What's the point if most men cheat? At least that's the way it seems. I don't know one person who hasn't dealt with a guy cheating or temptation. I know women do it too but my friends and I are exemplary humans and COULD NEVER. The thought of me cheating on my make-believe husband makes me sick to my stomach.

Hahahah thank you. Most days are fine but I feel entirely overwhelmed. It’s one thing adjusting to living alone, but it’s another to adjust to living alone while grieving at some points, having the stress of staying relevant, making the amount that I need every month and then when I try to step outside and have some alone time I get harassed by someone every now and then. They just don’t know any better. And every time I try to talk about this I know there’s at least a few people who take this as being ungrateful. I would just never force somebody to give them my phone number. That’s what happens to me quite often in Manhattan .
