Found a potential problem with the part while adjusting the injector rockers. He stopped tightening the stud when it didn't tighten any more and loosened it by 90 degrees. The stud didn't seem to rock-bottom but it was the nut that prevented it from going any further. That's why you'd notice after tightening the nuts, cylinder 1 and 2 had the studs exposed at different lengths.

OT ist in diesem Fall irrelevant, es wird der Förderhub des PDE eingestellt. Die Spitze der Nockenwelle liegt an der Rolle des Schlepphebels an. dies wird erreicht in dem der Kolben im Unteren Totpunkt ist. Die Messuhr zeigt in diesem Fall genau das an damit die Nockenspitze den richtigen Flankenanfang hat.

Hello, unfortunately I cannot find and answer the comment of Nuno R here - maybe the comment was removed. Of course it ´s possible to clean the PD injector with a paper towel. It´s of importance to take care that no parts of textile or paper are left - also better not to touch directly the spray nozzles or the intake - but just cleaning the rabbet fo the O-rings is no issue. By this engine (also 1.9, 2.0 8V) you don't need to use indicator for determining lowest position. Take a look on camshaft lift for exhaust valve - lobe lift top in sync with rocker arm shaft

Can someone help me? I've replaced my pd injectors and the old ones are kinda broken I guess. The piston and the spring are coming off the rest of the injector. Is there a way to fix it with new injector parts or they should go to the bin?

Hello, honestly speaking - not in detail! I´m more or less sure that the official recommendation would be to scrap them. This parts a highly sensitive in tolerances and on the other hand heavily stressed by the pressure and the mechanical load they have to take. As long a broken pin or any other periphery part is cause of the damage you can repair it - I´m sure you will always find an expert who says "you can always make one perfect out of two broken" - but officially recommendation to be on the safe side must be - replace broken PD injectors by new ones. So many reasons are possible, injection system, Engine hardware, valve stem seals, head gasket and so on. Here you have to make a analysis on the engine. Sorry for that! Hello, we checked the instructions - you are mainly right, 12Nm, 135° plus 135° - use new bolts. We recommend to use VIN and to go for OE instructions in addition to be safe. Kind regards from the Service Team

Hello, hmmmm, right - in the beginning of our moviemaking we tried to do everything 100% according to OE manuals. After doing so, the KZbinrs wrote to us, this is not realistic, that is "German Gründlichkeit", you always to have compromises. We made the decission afterwards, to show how to handle our products in an acceptable and proper way - and we are ok with 95% ;-) Hope this is ok and understandable - kind regards from our Service Team

Bei der Kontermutter ist bestimmt eine ziemlich breite Toleranz zwischen "hält" und "kaputt".

@@pleindespoir, hm - um Missverständnisse zu vermeiden, wie kann man "hält" und "kaputt" gegeneinander vergleichen? Eine Kontermutter hält oder sie wird locker - das sollte durch richtiges Befestigen nach Herstellerangaben schon zu steuern sein. Kaputt, naja, da hilft ja oft eine Sichtkontrolle - ist sie hin muss sie ausgetauscht werden... Dass mache Muttern ohnehin immer ausgewechselt werden müssen um genau diese Diskussion nicht aufkommen zu lassen ist auch klar. Aber, beides spielt für den Film keine übergeordnete Rolle - es ist einfach nur ein Film der zeigt wie UNSERE Produkte gehandhabt werden sollen. Grüße von unserem Service Team

Hallo nochmal, ja klar, das stimmt! Das gilt für alle unsere Videos und wurde auch schon hinreichend diskutiert. Jede Anwendung im gelaufenen Motor hat Ihre Tücken, fordert einen erschwerten Ausbau oder kann gar zu Folgeschäden führen. Das wollen wir hier gar nicht behandeln. Wir wissen auch, dass man bei eingebauten Motoren nicht so gut an die Einbaustellen rankommt... All das ist individuell und jede Werkstatt hat Ihre Erfahrung wie mit solchen Herausforderungen umzugehen ist. WIR wollen wirklich nur zeigen wie unsere Produkte zu handhaben sind - einfach um banale Fehler auszuschließen, daher verwenden wir meist neue oder überholte Motoren. Aber ja, die PD Injektoren können Probleme beim Ausbau bereiten... Gruß vom Service Team.

Interessant wie im Titel im deutschen Teil O-Ring fälschlicherweise ohne Bindestrich geschrieben wird, im englischen Teil dann aber mit Bindestrich ... was allerdings falsch ist, weil dies im Englischen so nicht geschrieben wird.
