We don't KNOW that the Sorrow couldn't contact his son. Maybe that is how Ocelot aways seemed to know what everyone was up to, and how he stayed one step ahead. Maybe the Sorrow was the real villain behind it all the entire time.

My favorite character in the entire series. Metal Gear Solid isn't about Solid Snake's legacy, it is about Ocelot's Legacy. Snake is Ocelot's antagonist, and we are just viewing the story from his viewpoint. Also: excellent choice of wardrobe for this video ;-)

Ocelot has been intriguing and mysterious in the realm of Metal Gear Solid. From being the son of the Boss & the Sorrow to idolizing Big Boss to going against Zero & the Patriots, he always had that hidden agenda. What made him awesome was being possessed by Liquid Snake to further his plans before dying at the hands of Solid Snake (Old Snake). All in all, he was truly an iconic character

Ocelot is one of those characters that really enriches the saga. From his introduction on Shadow Moses, it’s clear he’s more than just one of the villain’s henchmen. Sons of Liberty did a lot to expand on him and Snake Eater showed us his wild meowing adolescence. It’s funny that throughout the series anyone who had an idea about starting an armed uprising just happened to have Ocelot as their “Loyal” 2nd in command, only to have everything fall apart for them. I love the way he chides Solidus and Fortune atop Arsenal Gear in Sons of Liberty, revealing that he’d been pulling their strings the whole time. Great outfit! You look just like Ocelot. But your hair isn’t in a ponytail so I suspect you’re actually Liquid. You can’t fool me.

I like to think that the Boss named him. This was probably unintentional (since they were just trying to make the name Adam sound more Russian) but the name "Adamska" isn't a first name and it also isn't a male one. It's the female version of the last name Adamski (which I believe is actually Polish, not Russian). It was probably her trying to connect him to his Russian heritage, but fucking up because she's delirious from having given birth in probably the worst way possible. That or Ocelot is a trans masc icon and was given a girl's name at birth for obvious reasons, which, slay king, 1% of all war criminals should be trans.

Is Ocelot the gay? But for real Ocelot really loves Big Boss alot, it’s interesting how he fullfills the brother metaphor for Naked Snake and also becomes an uncle to Solid Snake. He is a villain but it’s hard to feel that way about him since all he does is retconned to save the world from the patriots. Plus the story of his birth and how it affected The Boss is a real gut punch, I don’t even know if the characters know if she’s his mom. Don’t even know is HE knows it either. Still wish we got to see more of the standard Ocelot in MGSV, since its the one time he is unambiguously a good guy. He’s pretty good.
