There is no lift at the bodyshop. We have a frame machine but no lift. A lift in a body shop isn’t usually needed and just take up space. You have a happy Father’s Day as well! It my big 39 birthday too! One more year of being young! 😆

Trust me you all are going to love those raised garden beds. I just made six more raised beds to add to my seven. That german way of gardening to the only way to go. In the fall and winter just add all that chicken poop to the top for spring. And mix in the spring.

I was excited to find your latest video, Chad! I realize that you folks are busier than anybody knows but it was great to get a glimpse of the "goings on" up in your neck 'o the woods. Those bugs are terrible! We lived in southwest Michigan (not far from Benton Harbor) while I was in graduate school and during the summer the biting flys and mosquitoes were a real nuisance. I'm going to put your wish for a well producing good, clear potable water on my prayer list. Our Heavenly Father can make it happen for you!

The boxes were a great score. Next year you should have a good compost pile going, the garden will get better and better, and be a little less work. It is encouraging that you found that well with water. Have you thought about a solar powered pump on it to bring the water up. Keep plugging away and don't let the bugs fly away with any of your kids. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely a great score! The end of the pipe is plugged and the water in the pipe was just from rain and me fully it to try and flush it. Once I hit a good source of water I’ll most like get some sort of electric pump. We’ll keep plugging away for sure! You have a great weekend!

I grew up in the UP off grid behind Kiva Michigan about twelve miles in a area called Ladoga I enjoy watching your family videos all of us worked together we drove our well by hand and to this day I remember the mosquitoes 🦟 we had a small creek on the property excellent trout fishing good luck

I'm looking at a piece of property now that's got a good size stream running through it. I'm going to check back in the dead of summer and see how it's running. I'm fascinated with those hydro turbine generators. You can either pour the concrete for the spillway yourself or get the prefab kit. One kit you can go from 15kw to 70kw depending on your need and the water source you're using. They are pricey, ($60K) but that's for a unit installed. I can dig, I can form and pour concrete. The turbine itself can be from a few thousand to $10K for a big one. In the UP you'd have some seasonal challenges but I'm in California at low altitude, year round water flow. For these, you need a physical drop in elevation to produce enough flow to generate power you want.

The hardest year of gardening is the first in a new area. Your doing great. As Jack White sings “steady as she goes” It’s a tough slog on that well. Hope it works out eventually. Research deep well hand pumps?

You've got plenty of creaks and pool, why don't you pump some out and put it through a reed bed, filtration system, it'll be available to even drink soon. Please read up on reed filtration system! Just a possibility I thought it may help you and your family! :)
