But places like Kruger national park and all our other parks are reasonably save. If you have any jewelry leave it at home and hide your wallet and phone on your body. Never in your back pocket. I've had recent ideas that the afterlife could be populated by long extinct fauna as well as the souls of the deceased. I imagine the river Styx would be inhabited by the spirits of Spinosaurus and pakicetus, all looking to nom on some freshly dead that fall off Charon's boat. And this story kinda reminds me of those thoughts.

@@akollerp_9153 Thank you! The story came while I was on an exercise walk down a country lane. The sky was overcast and although the roadway was dirt and gravel, there was a very nice bridge of concrete and steel, with modern guardrails. That reminded me of and auto wreck on which I was first responder. A bunch of drunk guys piled into a small pickup truck had slammed into a guardrail on the edge of Houston. One, who had been in the bed of the truck, had landed in a grassy patch on the verge. He had only slight injuries. The same was true of the rest, at least physically. One likely has psychological damage... the guardrail entered the cab and should have split him in half. He was seated in the center of the back seat. However, the steel bar had merely lifted him from the seat and trapped him against the roof (sorry, I didn't get a pic). So, the Elements and recollections combined 😁
