honestly, while his game is hella good, i wouldn't praise him and call a genius(even though he's 10 times smarter than me). he's an ordinary person like all of us are. it's all just luck and the way how everything went on. if there were parrrarel universes, there would be the one where he wasn't as much lucky, and his game didn't become popular. i believe there are a lot of games made by THE geniouses, however they weren't lucky to make their game good or popular. after all, notch was posting development process to his tumblr and some of the stuff he added was a suggestion by somebody. he also found such a great guy like, jeb, CEO, and bunch of other cool guys you've seen in the video

It actually was because of his sanity. He was tired of being viewed as an icon, and getting hate for making changes to Minecraft that he didn't even know about because he hasn't worked on the game since before retail version 1.0.
