The choice was, continue down the road we are going-a road where 80% of Americans think we are on the wrong track, and one that Harris not only had a hand in, but would CONTINUE to do-or, change gears. Two prime concerns on people's minds for this election, were the economy, and illegal immigration. Harris campaigned on race and sexual ambiguity. I wholly agree that $16 BILLION is far too much to spend. And, the Harris campaign outspent the Trump one by almost 3x as much. This election wasnt about Trump. It was about the promise of-and utter failure by-a party that lied to the American public (fauci, Milley, Newsom, etc), a media that was complicit in that lie (covering up for Bidens dementia for YEARS), a party that promised peace and prosperity, but brought us a recession and a possible world war (thanks Biden for authorizing US weapons to be fired at Russia!!), and a divisiveness we havent seen since the 1860s. THAT is why Trump won. YOU need to come to grips with it. NOT us. The oligarchy has fallen.

Lewis, here's what I don't get, and maybe you can help me understand. You and my mom are basically the same generation. I was raised on the wafting smoke and fumes of the 1960s hippie movement, women's liberation, anti-establishmentarianism, an understanding that the best way to help each other was through better social programs, free thought and speech, critical thought, anti racism, love and (where appropriate...) flowers in your hair, and lots of really, really good music. In all that, it seemed natural and right to be a Democrat. And I was, right up until this year. What challenged all those 50 years of prior thought associations was a party that actively hid the fact that our president was no longer fit to run for a second term (and certainly seems challenged to finish the first one), and whose chosen (not by us) replacement touted the support of Dick Cheyney, who I (and pretty much every Democrat I knew) believed for the last 20 years is a full-fledged war criminal. Those two things were too much for my cognitive dissonance fuse and led to an overload. So what I don't understand is how you can remember the world in all of it's complexity 50 years ago fondly, but today you're able (together with millions of other Americans) to somehow look at the simplistic, black and white world the Democrats have drawn up for us and think that it's a good thing. Please, if you can, explain that to me because at this point, I'm not even sure how to talk to my own mother.

Robin Williams and Lance Armstrong sat toward the front of the plane on my side, so I didn't get to see much of them, but Lewis sat between Kid Rock and Miss USA (I can't remember her name to save my life). Watching them for the duration of the flight seemed to give an insight into their personalities. Kid Rock listened to music nonstop on his portable device, occasionally pointing out something on it to Lewis. Lewis read through one news magazine after another. And Miss USA sat there looking straight ahead the entire flight. lol I still have the photos they all graciously signed for everyone on board. Good times, even in Afghanistan.

Totally LOVE this brilliant funny and dead on Lewis Black!!! You’re a national treasure! And WHY do we have to spend ANY money for elections?

You are so right! An estimated $16 billion was spent on the 2024 federal election. 21 states have annual budgets less than 16 billion dollars. There are 119 countries with a government income less than 16 billion. Wikipedia.

Hi Lewis! My old man and I just saw you in Seattle.Thank you. Did you know that the dairy company "Nancy's" is (or was) owned by Ken Kesey's sister? Have fun in Eugene. You should hit the Oregon Country Fair next summer since you'll be free. See you there! ✌️
