Thanks for the lap, Misha. Good to see you again. I figured out that the engine light was flashing/limp because the engine oil level was quite a bit below optimal... It's something that I usually check after I do after the long journey to the Ring/a few laps, but I totally forgot this time. Due to this, the oil pressure would have been really low around certain corners when you were pushing and then cutting (engine light flashing). I originally thought it maybe was a fuel cut issue, maybe due to engine knock/pre-ignition, so I changed the map settings to lower the boost while you were driving. The temps were good, and the fuel was good, so I had a feeling afterwards that those weren't the issues. After the lap, the car then put up a 'low oil level' alert once I started it up again, which explained things. It's a shame as it's my fault for not checking, and the performance on the day could have been better overall, but a great lap either way! I will work on completely improving the suspension. I was disappointed with myself that the changes I made still weren't good enough this time around... it shows how hard it is to get right. But I am now looking at a whole new setup, which will be a lot more track focused with custom spring rates. I guess it's a constant evolution on the car as I gain more knowledge on things I can do to improve it and then have you test it out! Next time will be a big difference in a positive way with the complete new setup... 3rd times the charm... hopefully! Thanks again.

People said the same about the R33 GT-R and then the R34 GT-R as with each model iteration they were getting bigger, heavier and more digitalized when compared to the O.G Godzilla R32 GT-R and competitors such as the RX-7, Evo 6 etc.... It took time, but they eventually grew on the public and are now seen as part of the golden era of JDM. The R35 was seen as too digital and too heavy to be a good successor but by today's standards, its relatively analogue and for perspective, a 09 GT-R like the one above weighs the same as a G87 BMW M2, even with the GT-Rs AWD system and rear wheel steering. The R35 is still writing its strong legacy, even after 17yrs of production.

Great run. Car sounds awesome! BC coilovers are good for the street, but if you want to get serious on the track you need to move up to KW Suspension V3 Coilover. They even have an option to adjust ride height inside the car. Once you have the suspension and proper alignment/camber, you can get some sticky tires. Add a roll cage to stiffen up the chassis and give you some extra protection. Fire protection kits are not expensive either. Good time to install if you're going to mount a roll cage. The fun is in the build - Great work so far. You have the best driver to give you proper feedback. I wish I had Misha when I built my time attack miata.
