I mark my eggs very slightly with a eyeliner. Most of them are non toxic and it is easy to mark them with them. I breed more giant day geckos though and have never had a problem with the leopard gecko eggs rolling around.

Ron Tremper said in his care guide that he dropped it an egg once and it bounced around the room and it was still ok. Pretty cool!

Little know fact: The eggs WILL hatch even if you don't know what the mother/father geckos were...Just because you do it a certain way doesn't mean that it's required.

Blazed Herping It's considered a desert, just not all deserts have sand, a desert is dertermined mostly by the humidity and temperatures.

It's best not to because sand can cause impaction and doesn't hold humidity.
