@@TailsGTR yes it is, the rev has zero vocals until Self Titled. The backing vocals the rev does before Self titled are the following: - Backing screams on The Art Of Subconcious Illusion - Gang vocals on "Strength Of The World" - The "All Alone" in the bat country chorus Aside from that everything is Matt from STST-CoE with the rev receiving his first vocal parts in Self Titled.

One thing you shoul know about this band is that they are a real family, all the members were childhood friends from elementary-middle school (Except Johnny, he's a few years younger than the rest and joined in high school), they all grew up together playing music together, in their first album Matt's (lead vocalist) girlfriend did the backing female vocals and screaming, then became their manager and they got married, her sister is married to Syn (lead guitarist), and Syn's father sometimes plays the guitar in some of the songs. It wasn't until Rev's death in 2009 that they got a new member that wasn't basically family to them. I think this is the biggest reason why they're all so compatible and in sync together and can make these great songs in perfect harmony an coherence.

Avenged is crazzzyyyy good. Next album, City of Evil, is one of my favorite albums of all time, period, from any band. If you liked Waking The Fallen, you’re gonna LOVE City of Evil The band members by the way, real names and (stage names) Singer: Matt Sanders (M. Shadows) Lead Guitar, Piano, Backing Vocals: Brian Haner (Synyster Gates) Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals: Zachary Baker (Zacky Vengeance) Bass: Jonathan Seward (Johnny Christ) Drums, Backing Vocals, Piano: Jimmy Sullivan (The Rev) [RIP] Jimmy, The Rev, was the original drummer of the band, from their creation in 1999, until his early death in 2009, at the age of just 29. Following his death, other drummers that have played in the band have been Mike Portnoy, Arin Ilejay, and the current drummer since 2015- Brooks Wackerman. The Rev was a musical genius and had a huge part in songwriting. Heavily regarded as one of the best drummers of his generation, possibly of all time. He inspired many drummers. (including me)

This reaction touched me man, rewatched it already now. Hoping for a future album reaction from their catalog, personally any of them I'd recommend, although I'm mostly a fan of Self-titled and City of Evil. (also the Desecrate through reverence ending is my favorite on this album, it's very melodic: "Don't waste your time, and don't waste mine.." And also the bassline in the early parts of I Won't see you tonight part 1 especially.)

IWSYT pt1 and pt2 are interesting. It's funny (not haha funny but interesting) that you say pt 1 is better, it's kind of meant to be. Both represent different perspectives when someone commits suicide. So pt 1 is sort of beautiful and melancholy, it represents someone heavily depressed experiencing the release of death. While pt 2 represents the mixed anger and sadness of the people left behind. I love both of them personally, but I know what you mean. Also please react to the next album city of evil (or honestly any of the next 3, not that the other albums aren't good those albums are just the quintessential a7x experience.)

59:05 Jimmy Sullivan, ‘The Reverend Thomolew Plague’, best known as The Rev. Dude was an absolute monster on the drums. He wrote a lot of Sevenfold’s songs and lyrics, and did a lot of the vocals in their later works (by that I mean their self-titled album) before his passing in 2009. Their music after he passed is great in its own way, but it’s definitely not the same band without him if you ask me.
