In Africa we have the water hyacinth which dominates our creeks and ponds. They are very pretty but can stagnate water flow near farms and fish farming ponds, that's why farmers do not like them.

East coast Native Americans used yellow lotus as THE primary starch ,Egypt means lotus eater. Lotus eaters are genetically related closely world wide. If they neglect to eat it they get irregular & depressed. Why the symbol of Buddha is a lotus. It is a spiritual euphorant. Three types of man 1) yam/ banana 2) grass grain 3) lotus/ squash/ bean. Meats vary by region, but cultural types flow around the world following the starch they evolved for. Compare maps of those foods with historical cultural maps. Haha. - genetic behaviorist ( ethologist ) medicine woman. Eat right for your subspecies and thrive
