My IRISH ☘️ Father absolutely refused to allow me to go to High School because there were boys there. Off I went to the Convent of the Sacred Heart for a Private Education and living in a Convent for four years. In all truth I got away with unbelievable things. I never did anything bad, just things that drove the Nuns crazy. I still keep in touch with many friends I met there. However, I have a few bones to pick with the Nuns. We went to Mass 7 days a week at 5:30 AM

In 1813 Napoleon Bonaparte was still rampaging across Europe. Horatio Nelson had been dead 8 years, Russia had beaten Napoleon and his troops a year ago, and it would be another 2 years until the famous Battle of Waterloo, and Wellington's defeat of Boney once and for all. 😊

I’m so happy I ran across your channel ! I have a deep love for my ancestors homeland . The abandoned forgotten graveyard is a sort of allegory of the state of the church. The evil one has been after Ireland for centuries. Ireland kept Christianity alive for 100 years . ( I believe it was from 800-900 AD ) Thank God for the faithful servants of this blessed land . Ireland exported its greatest resource …. The people ! The Irish missionaries throughout the world will effect eternity. One beautiful day it will all be revealed. Had that first one had oil or black paint thrown at it Irish Eyes? I saw the black plastic or similar lying at the base and looks like something splattered down the cross…….was a bit shocked ! Surely that was my eyes playing up!? It seems a rather sad grave yard for the Nuns, no flowers anywhere, bulbs coming up, no colour at all….feels sad and not. Comforting at all. Really liked your find of the Tudor style building….shame you couldn’t investigate more there… AND THEN! You find an abandoned grave yard! Oh Irish Eyes you are wonderful…I’d love to come on an adventure with you….you never know where your going to end up or what treasures your going to find!! Creepy or not, that was excellent.! I loved all of it! There looked to be ivy grown burial mounds as you panned around….so more burials perhaps than you thought? The stone cutters wife’s grave was beautiful…how hard that must have been for that poor man to have carved for his wife…if she was only 23, he couldn’t have been much older bless him. I think in a previous video I’ve asked you and Sue if you knew/ had certain stone masons names cropping up more often, as I just wonder who those men were back in those times. You will have to bring Sue out here, I can just see he scrambling about in the undergrowth looking for mausoleums…..or crawling through those open windows into that building…I’ve decided she is quite a Tom boy are heart, but this place would delight her too.. are there any little villages around that place that would have buried their dead there? It’s strange if not. Stranger that table top tomb is so broken…..hope you havnt had Grave robbers after your Baronet and his wife! My goodness! What an amazing finD! Bravo! You have had a fantastic day…looking forward to more soon,,,you made need to take a small sickle with you if you have one or can borrow one, just to hack away some of the ivy and foliage stopping you get close or reading . Thankyou for a great adventure! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙋♀️😘😘🦋🥰 love from Helen in U.K. 🙋♀️👍x

I believe that if you research the area and ancient involvement with the feh, you'll find more of a clue to the "forgotten" cemetery. It doesn't look forgotten. It looks well loved and cared for by the ones who were served in the ancient way. A baron and baroness, wouldn't they normally be very near a church, or cathedral? Very intriguing to say the least.

There are parts of Highgate Cemetery which are overgrown like this. The grave of Charles Dickens family, especially his little daughter who died tragically young, was particularly overgrown. This was heartbreaking as Dickens chose the spot especially as it was in the sunlight for her. He was not to guess how nature would take over. Hammer Films used to use the old part of Highgate Cemetery to film outdoor scenes. They paid the Trustees of Highgate Cemetery handsomely for the use of these "facilities".😊

@@GraveVisitations Thank you. It has been hard enough here in the United States. I have connected only my Great Grandmother and gg grandparents we visit the graves and keep up with them however the ggg grandparents are hard . We knew that much because my Father is still alive and his Grandparents were from Ireland. He was named Martin after his father and Great Grandfather. We can’t decide about the other because they seemed to have had generations naming the same name or if they are another family unrelated. same first and last Cottingham Mahan or mc Mahan and Haley. There’s one cemetery they are all there but seems to be 2 different families. We only know 100 percent His Grandparents and Great Grandparents where their parents are we don’t know similar dates and names in the same cemetery from the same place in Ireland now what’s the chance of that?
