The level of cheating in British Boxing is something else. Even if the gloves have been approved, the boxer can contest it. The question you should ask is, how many fights have been allowed to go on even with glove disputes. As long as boxing in the UK is elevated by cheating, they will keep being knocked out by international boxers on neutral grounds. No wonder boxing fights will remain in the UK

The other thing to consider is that it's pretty easy to change the gloves for another pair from the same brand in one guys changing room. If anyone has heard of marking cards, I'd quietly do that with the gloves.

The issue is that they didn't like the brand of gloves(fly) because the padding was softer/thinner than other gloves. The thing is they're approved by the BBB of C, that brand is on their approved list, both camps are allowed to use them, so if there is a significant issue here and it isn't just pickiness, it's that the authority is too lenient in what they allow. It probably is just pickiness, seeing as it's been a thing since forever that different gloves offer different degrees of protection; the harder gloves are what boxing people refer to as a "puncher's glove". It's not a Luis Resto kind of deal. Fr this is an obvious stalking horse though, blatantly the thin end of a glovegate shaped wedge. Which would make sense if it was the same commission (it's not), or the same brand of glove (it's not), if glovegate was about a fighter using puncher's gloves (it isn't), or the conspiracy theories didn't come from the internet after the fact (they did). Glovegate is about various contradictory theories of glove manipulation (padding removed, hand not in the glove, egg weight in the glove etc.), somehow carried out with gloves kept by the commission pre and post fight and fitted in the prescence of commission officials and the opposing fighter's trainer. It's like claiming the Challenger blowing up proves the moon landings were fake: *bullshit* .a fighter you like lost a boxing match, it's a sport of fine margins especially at heavyweight, let it die already.

The issue with what you said is you mentioned a bunch of things, if you had just kept to one point you might have made sense. Glove gate for the 2nd fight started with the pictures being released, most people said it was photoshopped, once it was proven it wasn't and they were original pictures they changed their tune and tried to bring other points up, failing to realise the original point they had attempted. You fall into that category So much for conspiracy theories

Here's the difficulty I have pinning down this Sagan's Dragon; when talking about pictures, I don't know which version of the conspiracy you're talking about, because it's a constantly mutating hydra. First it was a "floppy glove" according to some hotep guy on youtube based on footage of throwaway hooks and flicker jabs, then it was loaded gloves, then it was no padding because it looks as if Fury's massive hands could be seen through the gloves he barely fits in a clinch in one picture, then it was egg weights because apparently that wouldn't break your hand, and probably god knows how many other versions i've not even heard yet. All of this ignores that Tyson Fury would have had zero opportunity to do any of this stuff if he'd wanted to, because the commission keeps the gloves before and after the fight, and watches him put them on along with someone from the opposing corner; the NSAC and Jay Deas himself would have to be in on the conspiracy. These are the two questions glovegaters have to answer, whatever version it is: 1. Why would the Nevada State Athletic Commission (and Wilder's own trainer) participate in a conspiracy against him? If they didn't, how did the manipulation escape their attention? 2. If the evidence is so compelling, why is Wilder releasing cringe wrestling promos on twitter instead of he or people around him pursuing legal action over the gloves, 10 months removed from the fight? The answer seems pretty straightforward to me; it didn't happen, and a lot of people who got reeeeaaaallly emotionally invested in one fighter because internet started casting around for reasons he lost, which is why there's god knows how many strains of this story. I'm annoyed mainly because boxing is already struggling to get out of the gutter thanks to real scandals, doesn't need imaginary ones 100% based on wish thinking, too.

There was no cheating here. The gloves were sealed and approved by the British Board of Boxing Control in the UK. Usyk could have used the same gloves if he wanted to. If his brand use more padding then that’s his problem.
