Team USA senior men's gymnast Yul Moldauer took us through his at-home workout routine. The world medalist and three-time NCAA champion explained how he's working on pommel horse, rings, and tumbling in a modified space. He showed us how he equipped his garage gym for the specific needs of an elite gymnast and explained what skills are important to keep up with while gymnastics gyms are closed. In addition to work on the apparatuses, he showed us circuits for upper-body and core strength.

At the risk of sounding like a maniac… I could watch a shirtless gymnast or athlete for hours. Not for weird reasons, it’s just super interesting watching all the different muscle groups activate. As they do a certain movement you can see the arms, then shoulders, then back… etc. It’s so cool seeing the human anatomy in action doing cool stuff. I never really noticed that before now.. I might look at some calisthenics videos or something and see what that’s like. It’s crazy to me that we have hundreds of muscle groups and it takes so many different muscles to do seemingly simple movements and complex movements can use hundreds of muscles at once.

@@darrielvasquez9014 i'm a gymnast, and i would say not only to gain body muscle in your stomach, legs, and arms, but also to stretch A LOT. i promise you will probably hate it, but the progression is crazy when you get flexible and muscular, having arm muscle is very important for on bars, and floor you need everything, valut is all power and endurance, beam is a little bit of everything considering what you are doing. ALSO, cardio is a must!!!! and i'll tell you it's not east but as a level 8 gymnast i would definitely recommend it! :) i hope this helps you
