We've hit a little speed bump while putting in the break-in miles on the new motor. The weather is getting colder, the snow keeps falling, and I'm trying my hardest to get out of Alaska before the winter conditions get much worse.

Ben, the 'setbacks' will leave a deep imprint in your memory bank and shape you in the best way. When I thru hiked the Appalachian Trail, I repeated thousands of times to myself, "Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance character; and character, hope." You will learn and grow from these experiences and it will only prepare you for what's ahead. Selfishly, I'll also tell you that we, your viewers, are learning from your experiences/setbacks, which makes me want to keep watching and learning. Keep pressing forward and enjoy the journey!

Thanks for being here Vince! I’m definitely learning and growing everyday. The biggest change has been slowing down and embracing it. There’s no rush, and it can sometimes feel uncomfortable to slow down, but it’s all going to work out 🤙

Please don’t become overwhelmed you will get through this setback. I was upset to learn that you didn’t resurface your old engine head before you installed it. I remember you straight edged the head and determined it was straight, that all good but… head warpage is not the biggest problem with these heads. Some cases the head straightens some just by the torque of the head bolts. What is hard to determine is high spots on the head surface especially at the head bolt holes. Good luck fingers crossed for the next video.

I'm starting to feel really bad for you, but you know what, it's a little setback, that's it. Do not give up this opportunity. Man I feel for you and the frustration. And maybe the Universe is trying to tell you something like it’s calling you to stay in Alaska for something or someone. I believe our creator wants what is ‘right and just’ for us. But it sounds like you’ve had a few knocks in life and I’m sure you will endure whatever this is. So glad you are finding the positive. New engine: change oil at 50 miles and 500 miles. You want high cylinder pressure to seat the rings, so low rpm, high throttle load, And very the rpm ranges. Woc treatment of the rings makes a *huge* difference too

Hate your having the issues but at least you only have to worry about keeping yourself and dog happy and not the partner you had mentioned in a earlier video. Sometimes there is a higher plan. Hang in it will just get better.
