Once again; Delete adaptations with ISTA-D and re-adaptation with INPA
#NoxSystem #InjectorAdaptations #NoxCatalyticConverter #30EA #BMWE91 #BMWN43
- BMW E91 2008 Touring engine N43B20A
- Misfire counter detects random misfires?
- Fault code 30EA: nitric oxide catalytic converter, sulphurized
- Hunting the cause of the misfires!
- Situation: Spark plugs and Ignition coils are ok
- All Injectors, lambda sensors and CCV with valvecover, NOx sensor are replaced with new ones.
- Forced desulphation session and deleting long-term fuel trims are done after new parts.
- Re-learning process is still in progress...
- No any leaks in exhaust or intake system.

- Diagnosis of the NOX Catalytic Converter with INPA!
- Fuel injectors have been leaking for a long time; Cause of NOx Catalytic coverter loss of efficiency?
- Resetting adaptations with the INPA program will also reset the calculated content of sulfur level.
- This causes that, the calculated content of sulfur level will recorded to DME will be incorrect
- it can be harmful to the performance of the NOx catalytic converter
- ISTA-D will not reset sulfur level of NOX Catalytic Converter.
- In the future: delete the old DME adaptations, using ISTA D and create new adaptations, using INPA
- Chemical tests, Integrators, offset type LTFT, multiplicative type adaptions LTFT, opening time, flow-rate data, electric charge, Voltages,
Learnbits, adaptions, Homogeneous mode, stratified charge mode, Idle and partial load

NOXEM coming soon :) I bought it, believe me, it works even better. Not even cold shakes at start while idling. (I had this problem and no nox problems etc.) I just feel like these nox sensors overcomplicated that is why they fail even from the factory.

i suggest you to reset/learn again because your two learnbits in second colum were ok before so i have no idea why not in this case, keep up good work, cant wait what you discover next! and make flywheel adaptation first as it is in bimmerprofs guide.

Hi Jani, I have followed your video and at the first no performance în stratified after a longer run I got 6/8 and the engine performed în stratified charge as it was shown în Inpa, let see în the fluture how it will work and if the consumption will decrease, now it has a strange drop of rpm when I shfit gears......, but the adaptation are corect în this moment hope to stay like this, good luck and thank you for you work.

Great content! I have same issue on N53, I will try to do readaptation again and see...btw, what tablet/holder setup do you use? Android tablet running windows?

I admire your determination, really good job. On a side note, I'm curios, if you know, how's your oil pressure at idle with a hot engine? (oil temp >= 110° c)

Like your videos, bimmerprofs is not always right regarding adaptations, sometime it take 3 or more sessions to complete, usually the bottom one for lambda heating is done when starting vehicle from cold and leaving on idle for a while to warm up. Keep them coming, just curious how this will end up in your case.

Hi man, good vid. I also have N43, but 318i, with NOXem. Think I need to make my driving sessions a bit longer. Also, few comments in F5/F6 Adaptation Gemisch menu, numbers are the lines from the top: 3. Integrator Bank 1 - apparently this is called as Short Term Fuel Trim. I noticed it is running only on idle, when lambda is around 1.00 4. Additiver Adaptationsfaktor Bank 1 (mg/stk) - this value hasn't moved from 0.00 mg/stk yet...It's called offset Long Term Fuel Trim. Maybe more longer sessions are needed. 5. Multiplikativer Adaptationsfaktor Bank 1 - Apparently it's called "multiplicative type Long Term Fuel Trim". For now it is fluctuating, but hovering around 10% 6. Gegenwartige multiplikative Gemischadaptation Bank 1 aus Lambdaadaptation - this one is still 0.000% for me 7. Korrektur EinspritzZeit Bank 1 - at least I have a progress here, was 0.00% before reset, now it's -3.10% As for the flywheel adaptations, best is to accelerate the car in 4th gear to 4000 rpm (around 120-130 km/h), then release the pedal, let it slow down to around 2900 rpm = done. But I noticed that during the 2nd adaptation reset, all that was enough was just a but harder acceleration to like 3200 rpm. First reset was invalid since I did it only in Inpa, need to first register new NOx cat, reset adaptations, then register new NOx sensor, reset adaptations), only after that Inpa reset (F8/F2/Shift +F9) will work -> it will display yellow warning on the kombi screen. Today I even got two traction control yellow warnings, but they disappeared after engine restart. Also, the car will start heating up the probes (line 1 and 2) only after like 2nd restart. So you reset your final adaptations in Inpa, start your car, do your flywheel, then stop, Restart, drive, still nothing. Then restart again -> now it should come and Stratified Charge should also be enabled after a while. Not sure what each and every learnbit means, there is no serious documetation for that and solutions how to react. Anyways, my point was, that recently I replaced Camshaft Position Sensor and maybe when it was faulty (there was an error) - it gave me very high multiplicatve LTFT (over 16%), which in turn can bring integrator and other values to 0. Hence after a sensor replacement, new adaptations are also suggested.

Also, my stratified charge mode hasn't been on like never ever., it only stays in homogenous and I've replaced every part apart from ecu, and injectors and fuel pressure sensors. My car I bought it with a Nox cat and sensor sulphurized but when I looked it up on my inpa, it showed barely anymore than 1mm in the red

@@JaniVoutilainen Yes i have replace oem sensor and forced sulphurise 780mg now its 200mg? But have eror 3072,29cd,29cf,29cc after delete not have code error but after 50km returning i thing need change spar plug (not chsnge 80 000km)and reser engine adaptatin? Thanks:)

Would you like to Share your Software with me with a download link?. For weeks I am trying to install INPA. But it does never work. Sometimes my N43 engine is not listed in INPA. It feels like I have the wrong software version and it cant connect with my car

When I got excited about this hobby myself, it took me quite a while before everything was installed and ready to use. You can find good instructions on the Internet on how to install the INPA application. After installing INPA, update it to the latest version of MSD80 loader here: bimmerprofs.com/msd80-loader-2-023/

Moikka! Onko INPA:sta jäänyt paketti asentamatta kun kohdassa 2:42 minulla puuttuu nuo shiftillä painettavat valikot. Myös Järjestelmädiagnoosissa en pysty valitsemaan mitään valikkoa.. Osaatko kertoa mikä voisi olla neuvoksi?
