I know! I'm so tired of everyone saying how terrible Rumple is. In this episode its the worst because not only is he called a monster but he's also called a coward a number of times. Rumple isn't a good man but there is goodness in him and that's why belle got all defensive "No YOU don't understand...." I hope Belle breaks Rumple's curse and then they get married. That's how their story should end. HAPPILY!

Quite funny he takes time to answer Belle about why he brought magic to Storybrooke. Not exactly the best man to change the subject but I love Belle calls him Rumple! I love she already has a nickname for him!

lmao i know this video is so old but after all these years i’m still wondering why he wasn’t helping her find her dad????? i don’t think he was doing it to be malicious or strangely possessive but why would he do it? it seems a bit out of character.

I think he was being a little selfish and not wanting to share her or that her father may try to come between them (which if you recall he did in this episode). He also was probably still mad at him for shunning Belle in the enchanted woods.
