When I was 5 I thought Magneto was the coolest person ever, even though he was the villian. Antiheroes will always be more interesting than villians who laugh and kill cuz "they're evil". Ian Mckellen was a great choice for him too.

Couldn't agree more I think this was when the heroes genre became something that could be a serious box office hit

That scene, the cage fight with Wolverine, and the bar fight he gets in right after all stuck really vividly in my memory from the first time I first saw that movie when I was five. Great movie.

Totally agree. One of the best openings ever!

While yes, Stan gets all the credit, Jack Kirby died before the MCU really took off. They couldn't have him cameo.

Another great video done by you. I haven't been subscribed to you very long but I have enjoyed every single video you have posted and I feel like I have learned more after every video. And that Space Jam video connected to me cause I was the same as a kid. A job well done. Keep up the great work you do and you will have a fan for a long time.

03:06 You can say I am only prejudice because this is one of the first action films I watched, but: Batman and Robin is one of my favorite films. The plot is not dark and scary. The effects are great. As a kid I did not notice the puns through the film. The public and media just love to jump on the "Bandwagon" - so they can go suck it for all I care (the media, not you.) I also cannot understand why many of the cast actors regret it. If I ever meet Chris O'Donnell in my lifetime I would shake his hand and tell him "WELL DONE!" (same with now deceased director Joel Schumacher, who had apologized years later about the film.)

Blade had deep human moments too...it just didn't expand on it too much

Great video and all, BUT, you should've gone with the filmento route with the "one xcruciating scene" as EVERYONE and their nan did the "one xcellent scene"

splendid choice og scene and well placed perspective. i think nolans batman begins catalysed this styles growth. perhaps nolan was inspired by the orignal xmen.

Hey Ariana! Really enjoyed your xcellent scene. I’m surprised by how many tubers chose Magneto/Wolverine for their videos. Just subscribed to your channel btw. Found you from the FB group thread. Drop by mine too when you can. Thanks!!

"Cowboy films." You act like Sony hasn't tried to remake, replace and reimagine x-men twenty times by now. I barely remember the first (two x-men movies- fuck the third one). They were cheesy and honestly haven't aged well outside of the practical effects

Stan Lee wasn't as bad as Bob Kane was to Bill Finger. The X-men graphic novel "God loves, Man kills" is my favorite. When I found out X-2 was based on that graphic novel and seen how much they butchered it X-2 is right there as my least favorite comic book movie next to that live action Spawn piece of crap
