29:30 Tomar actually got it right; it's a memory saving thing. Once you hit a certain memory cap, it starts affecting which cars spawn. The reason why it starts spawning the car that you're in is because it can't unload the car that you're in from memory (since you're literally in the car), so it has to unload other cars in the pool instead. It's especially amplified with modded cars; if the memory limit exceeds to far, the game will either crash or spawn the same small number of cars. I know in GTA IV you can cause the infamous 'Taxi Glitch' by having a bunch of modded vehicles which take up so much space that it only spawns cop cars and taxi's in traffic, since the cars themselves take up too much memory.

There's actually a common misconception amongst bikers that "loud pipes save lives", based on the premise that if cars hear you coming, they're less likely to make maneuvers that could endanger bikers. However, statistics show the opposite is true, and loud pipes have a positive correlation with fatalities and accidents on motorcycles. So people with loud bikes either do it cuz they're inconsiderate, or because they've been deceived into thinking it's beneficial to them.

Correlation =/= Causation. Reckless bikers get into more accidents. Reckless bikers also happen to love their bikes loud. Doesn't mean that a safe driver with a louder bike isn't safer than if he had a quiet bike. If you don't think loud pipes save lives than you're trying to argue the point that it's safer for bikers when cars don't know that they are there.

I am a bit biased though seeing as how I don't think riding on motorcycles is a good idea at all (working trauma at a hospital will do that)

Two teams were selected for their ability to play nice together amd both teams ended up making the most iconic ps2 titles to ever exist because they didnt feud they flowed and shared ideas. The more comical gun ideas went to ratchet and clank like the guns that turn enemies into exploding farm animals and the more puzzle type gun ideas like the yellow rifle in jak and daxter with bouncing bullets made more sense for the jak series

So hot take, Driv3r is still one of my favourite games. It was the first game that I owned on PS2, so there is some nostalgia, but I've gone back and played it as an adult and it actually holds up better than I thought it would. I understand the criticisms, but it's still one of my favourite games of that era. *That* was the game that made me feel like I was in another world, only followed a console generation later with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. I loved the variety of cars and the the three cities, the guns, and the story was actually really interesting, being just off-standard enough to feel familiar yet unique. I also owned GTA3 and used that one to cause more chaos, but Driv3r was always the one I would go back to. I didn't actually get the reference with the Timmys before. They were hard, but not *that* hard to kill. I'm surprised it was even brought up.

I like how the earlier games were a little more goofy compared to more modern Gta, or at least less focused on realism. The best example is that achievement you can get for circumsizing 20 npcs in game in GTA 3 but there's a lot more.

best example is with San Andreas since that game has a very distinct yellow haze and fog to cap the draw distance. They get rid of it in the remaster, and in a jet, you can see the map is just divided into 4 quadrants and you can even see where the ocean ends. It felt so huge in the original but the remaster just ruined it.

Really the worst part about the remaster is that it's clearly just new models over old animations, and characters still animate like they're in 2002. Their fingers are all animated as 1 piece, their mouths don't actually have lips, and they're still even low poly despite being the "remaster," and everyone moves way to quick and spastiky. It really is just a mobile game mod and screams "ai upscaled," like I'm convinced they somehow upscaled the models with ai instead of just the textures, and that's why they look so smoothed out and cartoony.
