I wouldn't feel too bad man, Atari 2600 was THE thing back in the 80's and I have so much respect for its history. Granted, I wasn't even born when Atari was still a thing, hell I wasn't even born when the NES and Genesis first arrived (born in 90). My first ever console was an N64 which I still have, even though Atari is older the N64 is still considered to be pretty darn old so back then it was funny when my little brothers friends asked me why I still have such an old console around. The best answer I could give them was to pop in Mario 64, Starfox 64 or Diddy Kong Racing and have them try it out themselves. Watching them have fun on my old N64 was all that was needed to help them understand. :)

I think the next step for Microsoft and their push towards preserving their legacy titles would be to either adopt xlink kai's technology or create their own network tunneling software and integrate it into Xbox LIVE. How awesome would it be to create a party chat on Xbox LIVE and be able to simulate a System Link session for everyone in the party so they can connect to each other on original Xbox titles being emulated on Xbox One. It would breath new life into original Xbox games being re-released on Xbox One.

Halo 2 with the Project Cartographer mod is a awesome way to play normal Halo 2 on PC with people online, you can either get a copy of the game for free with the mod or install it to your existing game. It bypasses any Games For Windows Live as well!

The original Xbox is my favorite system, and I have owned almost all of them (from Pong to current gen). The PS2 is a close 2nd, and I appreciate the amount of games that were available for it. That's because Microsoft was extremely lazy, so instead of going off the original code for Halo 2, they used Halo 2 vista.....which was very close to unplayable, had terrible hitbox issues, and connection issues.

The LE port shown in the video actually has KB/M support. repi's port, which I used to play a lot, doesn't, but has more responsive/accurate xbox controls, and hardware accelerated rendering + support for native rendering at HD resolutions (720p + 1080i). I'll never forget the time I won a railwar match with a controller through riding a train of good luck. Quake 3 arena + Lantus's and I think also the new hardware accelerated Quake 1 port also have KB/M support but the latter does not have online play, and the first is the original, rather than Quake World, so there is input lag when playing.

Nice video! I once in a while go on Xlink to play Halo 2 online but the only thing I noticed is that everyone usually plays some weird type of slayer with the same weapon configured I miss playing original Slayer and Team Slayer

I was having the same problem, but my issue was the IPV4 Port was from my old computer. i guess make sure your port forward IP is the IPV4 of your computer and u should be good

ToXZiN 1 I seen the Halo 2 Multi Player once in a store. There was a full rack of them. I didn't have the cash for it but when I did that following day I came back to buy one and they were out. The store never reuped on them and I never seen a copy being sold after. I was bummed.
