Welcome to the 4 class of this Beginners Lower Back Course. 30 min. a day to help ease your pain and stiffness away. Each class gently opens and aligns the body in different ways bringing greater awareness, clarity of movement, understanding and flexibility. The course consists of 5 practices to be done sequentially (A, B, C, D & E) and then repeated for as long as enjoyed and/or needed. This is Class D and I'll be posting the last one tomorrow. I had a bad back, self inflicted, after doing your amazing 5 day lower back for beginners sessions, not only is my back healed, but a knee injury i'd had for several months. What is meaning of class D.. u have uploaded 4 video.. how to follow them... Means 1st vii 5 days,, then go to second.. is in this way...

Class A, B, C, D, then E. Do the classes once a day or more or less. Whatever works.

I like how you say that opening the body hurts. A lot of yoga teachers, not all, but alot try to gloss over the natural pain that you incur when trying to change the mechanics of your body. Like stretching the back of my knees, my hamstrings, my hips, my lower back, shoulders, chest... Basically everything hurts alot when you try to use it in a way different then you always have... Which for me was the easiest way possible using momentum and swinging to obtain motion T.T

During the earlier training years my teacher F. Biria used to constantly remind us of Iyengar's words - Be sharper than your pain! In fact during his month long intensives he even had it written on poster boards across the room. 😳 There's no denying the pain of change! I think what's also interesting is discerning between healthy pain and unhealthy pain... Happy Christmas Wheatsolo!! X Cat ⭐️🎄💫

@@YogawithCat it's nice to hear. I think Iyengar was more like his teacher then he'd like to admit, even though their methods were different. Too much yoga today focuses on how your body feels. Yoga was designed for the human body not the other way around like ballet. Yes their are less common genetics or defects or injury histories that should be accounted for; but the majority need to focus on the mechanics of a yoga pose not what 'feels right for their body that day.'

@@Wheatsolo So true!!! And you are reminding me that this is another thing Biria used to say over and over again. "Stop doing what feels nice or good today!" This is the reason I think a Training is so valuable. It instills that very notion of sticking to the sequence, the discipline.
