Considering the bike is actually a Trifox, those aliexpress chinese parts would be right home on the bike.

Campagnolo mechanical is bullet proof, but not really on the electronic. If I want electronic I'll go for Shimano. Even the Super Record price are higher it is because they using CULT ceramic bearing and carbon on all their moving parts. While using Shimano or Sram u need to upgrade to Ceramic Speed BB that will cost u about the same price with Campy after the upgrades. Depends how you look at it. Campy shifting is really raw and organic like the GT3 while Shimano is smooth like the LEXUS. Is what kind of feel you want.

Why do u need to upgrade to a CS BB?
@departurexx1520Күн бұрын
@@OompaLoompaCycling Marginal gain. A smooth BB really help your ride efficiency.

@@departurexx1520I have a set of CS bearing as well, no difference from stock DA bearing. I think CS is just a waste of money and will never buy another set.

Not just Campy's spares. Even Trek dealers in India couldn't get me the headset split ring for my Emonda ALR to fit an integrated stem. Had to order from the US site to Indiana and then reship to Delhi. Making me wonder if Canyon would be better with such weak LBS support in India.
@ariffau3 күн бұрын
Correct. If your LBS can’t sort you out, just go D2C like Canyon.

@@OompaLoompaCycling Don't know for sure. Trek has a solid presence in the country. Granted that my build was a little different from the stock. But they should know 'cos the parts I asked are from the bike's service manual. :D

I’m an Indian in Vietnam. Same issue. That’s why now I buy frame set and build the bike with parts that I can always source.

I have doubts about its aero credentials with that skinny downtube and also the 'holds speed well' opinion, but it is handsome all around and best of all your fit on it seems perfect and that alone can make the purchase worth it.

Campy for mechanical, Shimano for electronic. Also id never buy PNS because it just sounds way to close to the male genitalia😅😂

Campy mechanical is bullet proof, mine is 20 years old and still working well.
@quentendeclercq47923 күн бұрын
the real reason why people don't buy Campagnolo anymore is that they are always a step behind to Shimano and Sram. 10-20 years ago half of all bikes on the road here were equiped with campagnolo. now it's too expensive and doesn't have the performance other manufacturers have. it's for niche builds and people who value money and looks over performance. at least, that's how it's viewed over here in Belgium.
@OompaLoompaCycling3 күн бұрын
I guess it’s pretty much the same here in Asia. I rarely see many Campy’s around. Or none of the local pro riders using them anyway. As you’ve said - it’s more for the niche build like “I have an Italian bike, gotta pair it with an Italian groupset!” 🤌😂🇮🇹
@quentendeclercq47923 күн бұрын
@ It has the italian charm. One of my previous bikes was a dogma f10 with the last generation mechanical super record they made. It’s a dream to ride. But in terms of modern groupsets. Shimano is the king. Stam needs to figure out their braking system although It improved with the latest red.

I’ve just upgraded to the latest 12speed from the 11speed - the shifts are so smooth 🙌🏻

@@OompaLoompaCycling I have 12 speed ultegra as Well. It’s a fantastic groupset. Just as clean and precise as DA, but still relatively affordable. It’s a massive step-up from 11 speed. Not just the extra gear, but the ergonomisch of them shifters and the speed and consistency of the shifts Amazes me every time.

If you buy the cycling wallet, just check brands like Silca, see sense or Monton.
