This Starscream looks pretty cool, one of the best I've seen in a while! These Studio Series figures are going to be a hit for sure! BTW, Starscream got his "tattoos" in ROTF, according to the graphic novel, he carved those himself in his fuselage, crazy, huh? But it did make him look very different from the other F-22 Raptors, very cool review!

After watching a few of your vids the last few days I went out this morning and purchased this figure from my local target. Needless to say I was not disappointed. I had the original waves back when they came out and sold em all. Instant regret. Tomorrow I will be heading back for blackout cos he was my favorite and finally, finally, after all these years they did a leader class. Keep up the good work my friend. I am not talking about the 2007 Movie era - because TF has leapt so much forward since then in 'transforming' or engineering the toys ... but this is the Starscream figure we deserved such a long long time ago. Especially when DOTM deluxe Starscream came out. But this goes for all the Studio Line figures it should have been right out for the last 6 years. If it is not the correct paint and added detail ... it is certainly engineering or size wise.

The DOTM Deluxe was a good figure though, so it's not hard to see why Hasbro uses that blueprint when designing this Starscream.

In the films, Starscream was actually a little _shorter_ than Prime. The special effects team wanted Starscream to be shorter than Megatron (who himself was only a little bigger than Prime), and the only way they could do that was to give him an incredibly broad torso and chicken legs.

He's basically awsome upscaled and improved version of the DOTM Starscream . I can't wait to get him also the wholes are made to store the deluxes mechtech weapons or anyones in general. I also believe we might get him with his ROTF color scheme

Personally, I wouldn’t have given away the leader class figure. He comes with a hidden gatling gun and missiles in his arms, and everything is well hidden. With lights and sounds and the missile pod launcher, he’s an awesome transformer.

You know, I find it weird that no one seems to mention the missing item that Starscream had. In the promo pictures and even on the Hasbro Toy Shop website, Starscream has this sawblade weapon. He doesn't have it in the toy that everyone got though. I kinda want that weapon too haha

I just got my revenge of the fallen starscream studio series, the tattoos on him looks really good in jet mode and robot mode but the one you got has a cleaner look and military look. Both of them are great figures for collection, I got mine with grindor in my collection.

I had trouble following the 2D instructions, especially folding the arms into the bottom of the jet canopy. But thanks to your demonstration, I now know how to do it. It's really a fun transformation once you've seen it done :)

Great review as always dude, but I've got to disagree with you about the scale! There's no way starscream was that much bigger than prime, even in rotf when Optimus was throwing him about at best he looked about the same height! I think the studio series make great individual display pieces but their scale next to each other are a bit off!

Optimus is 28 feet tall, Starscream is 31 feet tall, so yeah Starscream is definitely bigger than Optimus. He just slouches a lot

Just got this guy Saturday along with Stinger and I gotta say this is guy is awesome. The transformation is perfect and in my opinion hassle free. Though o do wish that they went with the Revenge of the Fallen paint scheme ( I might be in the minority in that case but I really liked that version of Starscream the best). In conclusion aside from the leader class figures this the best one out of the series so far. Now just waiting patiently for Brawl lol.

This is late but, the missiles on a F-22 raptor is kept in compartments, or inside the plane. Hence, the F-22 Raptor is a Stealth Fighter, all weapons are hidden, and keep a stealthy look, and a clean bottom.

Smuckers Sammich I think that the previous Voyager Megatron figures were all good. Superior to their Leader counterparts, to a degree...except DotM Megs, who didn't have a Leader version and should've been better than what we got, and AoE Galvatron, who just wasn't very good. Hoping they keep it up for this line.

Agreed, I love that one, and yes, the F-22 Raptor is huge, and represents an actual Raptor very well, plus in real life, the F-22 is bulky. I always keep mine in jet mode, and this one for robot mode.

You know, this studio series isn't that bad. Unlike the last knight and age of extinction, this line seems to be available to everyone at the same time. Meanwhile, I had to wait 4 months after of wave 2 to get them in stores. But I went to target the other day and besides jazz, brawl, and megatron, they had every character of the studio series. I was shocked. So shocked I purchased blackout :P
