I left the live tutorial to watch the previous ones, I really appreciate that you don't take anything for granted, and explain even basic things along the way. It helps a lot. That is to say, your tutorials are fantastic.

instead of a VecToVec4 as the final node in VOP network before the BindExport, it's necessary to utilise a Quaternion node, otherwise rotations will behave incorrectly. It accept only radians as input, so with a FitRange transform the ramp output from 0-1 to 0-360, drop a DegreeToRadians before the quaternion node. et voilà! RampParameter-->FitRange-->DegreeToRadians-->Quaternion-->BindExport(rot) Nice solid VOP series however.

Attribute transfer might give you some idea, it’s video #2 in the series. I’m going to record a big series on mograph in Houdini, but can’t promise when it’s out. Time is working against my schedule this year, wildly so.

Just don't expect somewhat direct videos for someone switching from C4D. My combined experience using Cinema is about 10 minutes or so. I vaguely know what's up with it from their release notes and promo vids, and that's about it.
