@@devilbub8709 This part of Canada is very much a rural place. Primary industries are farming, mostly canola, barley, alfalfa and such, some mining, and that’s most of it. Flat down south, slightly more rolling up north, geographically. Most places are pretty safe, so long as you aren’t on a reserve or in North Battleford or PA these days. Cost of living is very low. Taxes are relatively low. Generally conservative politics. Work is pretty isn’t hard to get, so long as you don’t mind a bit of physical labour rather than computer science or something like that. Well the raven is a wicked bird His wings are black as sin And he floats outside my prison window Mocking those within And he sings to me real low It's hell to where you go For you did murder Kate McCannon When I first met Tom McCannon I was working in the mines Said he had himself a dark haired daughter With long, green eyes When she and I did meet She was bathing in the creek Prettiest girl in the whole damn holler That ain't no lie So I went a courtin' Kate McCannon Got me a job and I quit my ramblin' And every day I'd save A quarter of my pay I could buy a diamond ring Lord and one day I come home to find My darlin' angel's not inside So I made for the creek Where she and I did meet And found her with some other lover And I put three rounds into Kate McCannon

The smart thing about this is how real it feels. Like, you're out in the wilderness, alone, in a raw moment of rage. But you can't be stupid about it either. You empty half your gun, but you gotta keep the rest just in case. You gotta make your way home after the fact too. A lot of shit can go down from the scene until your home safe. You never know if someone else saw you. You keep the last 3 just in case.
