Coming back here after seeing it live at Breaking Dimensions. This song came out when I making big changes in my life, my own New Start. A lot changed since then. I cried for the first time in a very long time. I thought I had it all a few years back, lost my job, and as much as I wanted to bounce back, I kept getting turned down or ignored. Then the world as we know it regressed into isolation. Staying happy isn't easy when you can't find the courage to keep yourself pushing forward. I just love the lyrics of this song so much. Doing something unfamiliar, going out of your comfort zone, bursting your own bubble just to experience what it really feels like to be alive, and not just to exist for the sake of existing, but really live life. After I graduate from college, I felt lost. I do not know what to do with my life anymore. And that's the reason why I like this song, because basically, it encourages us to move forward no matter how hard and uncertain the world and the future might be. "I might end up dirty and disheveled but I don't want to grow old doing nothing" perfectly summed up what I'm feeling all these years. I'm doing small steps about my stagnation, and I hope that whoever feel the same way as me, you find the courage to take that one small step for a brand new start.

After listening to this countless times I noticed how absolutely well thought out the visuals were, not just their stunning appearance. The whole music video tells a part of Mumei's journey and experiences in a proper chronological order and isn't just an "anime/isekai" themed video but one that shows proper history. At the start and throughout the video, we see a clock spinning. This represents a time skip. We then transition to the river, which I assume to be the Nile with Mumei flying over it. We then see an ancient city and the pyramids, therefore we are in Egypt which is next to the Nile. At 0:30 we also see Anubis, easily identifiable by his symbol and scepter. By this, we know Mumei was there when the pyramids were built around 4500 years ago (Around 2500 BCE). This doesn't represent where Mumei started her journey because the video started with the clock visual, implying that time had passed before Mumei arrived in Egypt. We then see the clock again, representing the time skip and move to a moving visual of Mumei in a forest travelling. The next visual is a statue of Diana, the Roman Goddess of the hunt and we see Mumei again on top of it. We also see many Ionic columns around, which was one of three popular Roman columns used in the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire was started in 27 BCE with Augustus. Right after we see the El Castillo in Chichen Itza. This was built somewhere between 800CE - 1200CE. We then get more time skips, and the travelling visual again. We also get scenic views of nature on the ground and of the mountains from above. We then get the time skip again and we're brought to a modern city. Soon after, we get another clock, probably representing the time skip until Mumei sees another big creation from civilization that she can add to her records. Bravo to everyone involved in this song and MV. It's top tier in every way.

The river at the start is actually like the Tigris or the Euphrates, the two rivers of Mesopotamia (between rivers), as the next shot is the dawn of civilization, the great Capital of the Sumerian Empire, Uruk. You can see the Ziggurat in the middle, and the blue of the famed Ishtar Gate and the great walls of Uruk, the key feature of that fortress city.

The world is never going to be completely safe or consistent, so nobody should use that as an excuse for not doing something. I hear that excuse too often and I hate it. "I'm going to wait for the world to get better / open up more before I do X." People used to use climate change as their scapegoat for nothing doing things. For the past 2 years, people were using COVID as a reason to stay at home doing nothing. But those are just excuses. And I get it, because I'm pretty lazy too. But the world won't wait for you, and you will only get older. Life is dangerous, even when it's safe. You could die from a bear attack, but you could also die from a random rare bacteria that you contracted from within your own home. Turtling up is no way to live. Granted, you should try and be safe within reason, but don't let it stop you from doing fun stuff. Don't take unnecessary risks, but take some risk.

This song is truly heavenly.... The first rhyme with bard and celtic style felt like how us human build our civilization from scratch with blood, tears, sweat and a lot lot of time. Then come the second rhyme with that happy vibe. Yes, indeed we human stray from time to time like dark ages, world war but we still persist, civilization still persist. That cheerful tone saying as long as we still stay as we are felt like pushing us to try new things and even if we stray a little bit that's fine that's just how human is. Even if we do stray too far and stumbled so hard that we hurt ourself, we can relax for a bit an do a new start on a different path. So long as humanity still exist, civilization will never perish. I've listen to this song many times before, but this time, I got really emotional. I'm bad with emotions, as in I have lots of them, but I'm bad at feeling them, so I end up unintentionally bottling them up. As for why it hit me now and not before, that would be because I'm currently trying to finish a bachelor, and struggling, and I think its been weighting on me more than I though because again, this song just made me straight up cry. Because yeah, whether I fail or not, its not an end, its a new beginning, and the line "your new map will be filled with color" mad me bawl my eyes out (twice in fact, because I checked to make sure I got the quote right and it hit me just as hard again). So from the bottom of my apparently sensitive heart, thanks a lot. The song is beautiful and helped me release some pent up emotions and I am looking forward to everything else you will make in the future. Edit: 4 months has passed, I still cried at the closing lines. These words genuinely helped me though my bachelor, and I'm glad to say, I did it! I got a C and my way forward is open. That said, I'm currently taking some time to work on myself before continuing with my studies and as part of that I've gotten a proper job for the first time in my life. And while its exiting, its also hard, but again the words of this song help guide me. Its a new unknown and I very likely will end up dirty and disheveled, but its a part of my journey, and the hard parts will pass all while getting me ready for the map filled with color that I'm working towards.
