Really enjoying the series on mapping, but I'm extremely new and all of these videos so far have much to do with theory and why to map things certain ways (or what to look out for rhythmically to better manipulate your map). I know the audience you're trying to reach has mostly tried mapping already and are looking for ways to improve and build with the current standard for mapping, but would it be possible to make a video outlining the features of the actual mapping function? stuff like how to properly find/ input a song's metadata, a more accurate way to calculate bpm than tapping to the beats on screen, as well as stuff like their snap function and stuff? I know it's a lot to ask, and if there's already a video you know of and would rather just link that I'd be okay with that. I'm just having a really hard time finding a good, detailed introduction to the actual mapping interface and whatnot. Anyways, thanks for all of these videos thus far, they're giving me some great pointers for when i can actually properly use the mapping features in the game! Keep up the awesome content!

I've played a lot of CRN's Streaming Heart dif and I didn't even notice it's 3/4, it just came natural, and he uses singletaps with 3/4 spacing between. Well, he does use 3/4 sliders earlier at the same rhythm so you kinda get used to idk.

great video as always. surprised you didnt use grumd for this, haha as a player i believe that a portion of the responsibility lies with the player to be able to read irregular rhythms via approach circles and just by listening to the song. unless the mapper is completely tampering with spacing in an egregious, shitmapp-y way, anything should be readable by the 2nd, 3rd play of the map, maybe a quick glance in the editor -- since i've heard the music more than once by now and should be able to correlate any irregular sounds to the map objects, even if they dont utilize polarity or irregular rhythm easing. i like to think this attitude gives a bit more freedom to mappers to express the music how they want to. example: hanzer's Voldemort map, 00:17:695 (4,1,2,3,1,2,3) - i doubt this pattern would be deemed readable, due to spacing/rhythm disparities, but i took literally a 2-3 second glance at the editor and was able to read it. i really like the way it's mapped even though it's not "readable" and find the map more enjoyable as a result. and hanzer gets to express the music how he likes to, everyone wins

Maybe you could make a video about how to use SV changes properly so they won't play like crap? And perhaps also choosing the right base SV for the map and SV's relation to spacing. It's a bit of a complex topic though, would be appreciated!

It would be cool to see a video on how to make high star maps highly readable with a very low cs (low as in less than 4)

Mmh, I'll keep all that in mind next time I make a beatmap. I'm on one with a lot of irregular rhythm, but I thought "hey, if I go 1/6, I can make every circle fall right on a beat". The rhythm itself is respected, but it's confusing if you don't know the song.

+Nathan Moral of the story: Never insult a mapper who worked hard on getting their maps ranked. If you hate their difficulty or maps in general, saying it's "unreadable" THEN YOU'RE JUST TOO WEAK. The best way is to just show some respect for them. What I might be saying may not be clear but maybe you should get the point P. S. Hi sukiNathan o/
