We have put so much blood, sweat, and tears…. Well mostly sweat… Into these floors and we can’t wait to share the final reveal!!
For those of you who have decided to take on this project as well, know what you’re getting yourself into and try NOT to do it on anchor.
This episode brought a tear to our eyes and we lived it! What do you guys think?

I have been watching this channel since ep.1 and am enjoying this series immensely. I am not a boater by any means, but am very handy with many trades and really appreciate the detail you put into your thought process and showing the actual repairs. Love the quality of your videos and I easily subscribed to your channel. I am not jumping ahead for any spoilers, I am enjoying the ride, living vicariously through both of you.

Obviously a survey could have revealed some of these issues but if a boat is actually hurricane damaged then I feel a broker is obligated to disclose this information. This broker should be called out here. Seems pretty shady to me. That being said... I'm glad he didn't tell them everything because Raf might not have bought this boat and I feel they were meant to be the owners. It's this journey that we get to share with them on fixing this boat up that has shown us so much and we're all able to share in the skills these massive repairs and renovations take. These are the moments that build an audience. Eventually there will be more cruising but its these first moments that really create a bond with the audience. Not to mention, the editing and production value of this show. Raf has a natural talent to narrate and Sascha just fits perfectly with his style. These two make an amazing team and their show has quickly become top of my list. Cheers guys!

Ok, that seals it! You two have to get in the boat flipping biz. Your work ethic alone would guarantee success. The skills, the teamwork, the mental state, all point towards a union without equal. 👍👍👍❤️

I honestly think you two are the only couple n KZbin that can actually do an entire episode about sanding and sealing floor boards and make it interesting. Great job on the floors. Your mad carpenter skills are really showing.

I'm enjoying the wood working tips on the boat channel. I've been remodeling my house and building kitchen cabinets so I'm just like, "yeap that's right!" About the sanding and finish. Also, it is tedious living in your remodeling. They have to either be totally on edge or they have god-level patience. They appear to be keeping good humor, as you must, because because those are some cramped quarters.

Years ago I had a 38' Swan, did the job with the same teak and holly ply you did. I know how hard it is and your end result is nothing short of fantastic! Alignment is such a crucial task and you nailed it!! I was not as adept and wound up hiring a woodsman far better than me to make it right. Well done and WOW! great job on the finish too!

This is a great series of videos - really gives an insight in detail about what it means to try and restore a 2nd hand boat and get it ready for the water. Plenty of problems to think about, some good advice, and also really interesting watching to try and learn what to do. Probably more info on this series than a day 2 boat maintenance course. Maybe it doesn't make a whole episode - but I;d be pretty interested to see something devoted to all the tools that were used for this refit, and also all the tools that you reckon are needed on board to do any running repairs while under way: as it never ceases to amaze me what can always go wrong on a boat! PS - I remember this area, of the US - 2 weeks at the IYT centre doing courses for STCW - fighting fires, water rescue and RIB training then some R&R at Waxy's. Now in Europe, but would love to get down there again.

Really enjoy your channel. Great job on the floors, they look spectacular. Marine grade means there are suppose to no voids and the glue used between layers should not break even after boiling for at least an hour. As you stated unsealed wood is still susceptible to root.

4:37 the only place we have consistently heated our home is in the bathroom 🚽 🥶 🫏 Everywhere else I can put on more clothes or create heat 🎶 under the sheets 🎵 just remember once your 🎶 under the sheets 🎶 to strip all the clothes off and keep them under the covers with you not on you. That way when you get up you can put on some pre warmed layers as you come out into the cold. It works 😊
