I grew up Mennonite, so I’ve really been enjoying your channel. I used to LOVE when Mom made whoopie pies. To save time, she baked them as a sheet cake with the filling in between a top and bottom layer. She would cut them into squares. She’d freeze them, and partially frozen whoopie pies are so amazing!

People don’t know your financial situation and like you said, you’re doing your renovations as you can. I love what you’ve done. Also, about your grocery hauls. Yes! Ours are “only “ about 9 years old and my hubby is great about fixing them when they fuss. I laughed when the comment about the spin cycle came up because mine was spinning and the dryer is loud and I almost couldn’t hear hers! 😅

I enjoy grocery hauls because we are empty nesters so no need to buy in bulk (other than Costco's toilet paper...Kirklands brand is awesome by the way!!) And we are 4 hours from a Costco and we don't have a membership. So there's that. Wishing you all the best for the remainder of your pregnancy. You have been on my pregnancy prayer list and I am happy to announce that our sweet neighbor who was also on my prayer list, had her beautiful, perfect baby boy last Friday. I am fascinated by grocery hauls, especially from other countries. Going to a local grocery store is actually always on my list when I'm travelling abroad! Food prices also vary a lot depending on where in the world you live so it makes absolutely no sense to me to voice opinions about that. I wish I had access to a bulk store, it's not very common in Sweden. Luckily we have access to local farmers so we can source our meat sustainably. And Miller singing is just the cutest thing!

What I get at Sam's....the bag salads and the cooked chicken, dog wee wee pads, gas, pizza or hit dog for lunch. Once a month, I get yogurt, a dip, I rotate, hummus, chicken salad, or spinach, a tray of precooked meat, and a tray of fun, something with pasta. And citrus, apples, avocado I get at my local store one block away because it goes bad. I am single. Oh, and baby wipes and tissue. Today I splurged and got probiotics and some drink powder. I will occasionally get a basket or a blanket. I budget this ....I get 2gifts cards and one is for gas, one is for food. I use them all month and then reload the next month. That is how I budget my slice of pizza lunch, etc.

It is perfectly normal to upgrade stuff, especially when you are hosting things and preparing for a larger family. I remember when I first found your channel and all you had that beautiful little girl, I can't believe your about to have your fourth baby life goes so quickly. She's turning in to such a beautiful girl but I wouldn't worry about anything evonie will look after everything while you are busy with everything else. Possibly a tip to save time... use parchment paper or aluminum foil on your baking sheets. When youre done you can throw them in the garbage vs scrubbing cookie sheets.... on the same vein, if you dont already use slow cooker liners... when the meal is done just pop that liner in the garbage, no soaking or scrubbing of the slow cooker.

Grocery hauls! To me, Sam's/Costco are for stocking up, I do it myself! So any money spent is going to stretch for several weeks. I'm a widow, so on my own. Some weeks I spend very little, others a lot more, depending on my pantry. I try to watch sales, starting at Aldi and then a couple of other grocery stores that are on my way home from Aldi. Sam's, I pick-up when things are a bargain, and use the huge store as exercise. It's really no ones business what you spend your money on, even if you feed your kids junk food a lot, which you don't!!! During COVID, I renovated the main parts of my house and if taken at one time, it was expensive. But I had been buying supplies, paint, etc for a few months and the end was just doing the work. Worth every penny. Don't pay any attention to those who judge you.

If you ever shop at Sam's Club again let me tell you the member mark toilet paper and paper towels are your best bang for your buck. I may have a membership just for the tp 😂. Also, your house is lovely! And I have found myself getting very discouraged over the whole social media crunchy culture. It makes me want to not log back in.
