Sharmila Tagore was a complete style icon of her time... her winged eyeliners are simply decade defining, besides she gave many superb performances too ~ Apur Trilogy, Mausam, Aradhana being some.... many of her songs too are classics... she has this distinctive accent ( especially when she says dialogues while playing urban girl in movies ) is simply which I love .

I prefer this film over the more formulaic and commercial-minded Aradhana (1969), which is made by the same director and has the same lead actors. If you would like to see more songs with Sharmila Tagore in it, please watch “Kuch Dil Na Kaha” from the beautiful 1966 film Anupama. If you want to watch a film with her in the lead, I recommend the wonderful 1975 film Mausam, directed by Gulzar. Another one of the great directors that India has been blessed with. Bye now! 🇳🇱🤗
