Even still today in Africa, you can still see Massai tribesmen hunting lions with spears and stealing the lion's food. That alone should tell you who's the Apex predator of this world...

The kicker is that the events of the movie is supposedly what led to the epic Beowulf, the name being a bastardized version of the Vikings' leader, the killing of the high priestess symbolized in epic with the killing of Grendel's mother (himself representing the Neanderthal tribe), etc. Crichton wrote the novel, "Eaters of the Dead", as the translation of an ancient manuscript, and his mock old-time prose feels truly authentic. Perfect teeth are more plausible than you might expect, sugar and modern super saturated diet is one of the more common reasons for tooth decay. Teeth generally wore down with old age or in coastline areas where there was a lot of sand or abrasive material in food. As for hair and beard - nobody knows whether people back then shaved or not. Artwork depicting humans is oddly lacking, but given that there is a bunch of decorated jewelry, figurines and all, there is no reason to think they wouldn't decorate themselves. They had super sharp flint and obsidian blades, so it's not impossible. Same goes for the language, you can't know. The bigger issue is the year - about the time the last fossils of Neanderthals are found, so it might be telling of the plot.

@wolftal11782 ай бұрын
The whole thing was inaccurate for 40,000 BC, why was there hair so short, with no beards. Even if they had a way of actually shaving and cutting their hair, why would they when the area was so cold that extra facial hair would keep them warm. Also, why were the dark skin people there. By that time all humans in that area would've been very pale, but they forced diversity into it for the screen. Also when they're travelling across the land there wasn't a single animal in sight. In a place like that there would've been muskox and Hare as well as no shortage of birds. And I can’t believe that despite the fact that all meant to be hung together as survivors, not one of the characters other than the leader has a weapon (actually two weapons although that makes even less sense). A group like that would’ve been armed the teeth with Bose arrows and axes as well as Spears and knives. I know they wanted it just to be a horror thing but come on if they went to that amount of trouble to try and have them speaking in caveman they might as well have done the rest of the details as well, otherwise why not just have them speak English?

I've searched all the movie theaters for this. I couldn't find it. I searched a pirate movie app I have. Couldn't find it. Amazon prime has it. I payed 6.99 to rent it. I've waited since I heard about it to see it. I was so excited when I purchased it. Worst movie I've seen in many years. Biggest disappointment since covid atleast.

You still find primitive people living today in the jungles of South America, Africa and southeast Asia, and they're clean shaven with haircuts...

What's not told here, and if you watch the documentary, she was robbed by the U.S. Military of her design. Hence she was never properly credited as the inventor.

I just can't stand movies with subtitles in it, especially all the way through it, I don't want to miss something because I'm too busy reading.
