Thought I would share about an accidental companion I "teamed" with in Fallout 3. I was doing the Mothership DLC when a ghoul spawned, that got really messed up by RNG. This poor guy, whom I affectionately named Charlie, spawned without arms. I first met Charlie when he introduced himself by running up and growling in my face, then retreating. Without arms, it seems all Charlie could do was growl, a trait I soon came to consider enduring. He followed me throughout the rest of the DlC, becoming a welcome companion. I was devastated when upon finishing the DLC, Charlie did not follow me back to the Wasteland. Here's to you, Charlie, may you live long and prosper.

I definitely always kept the wedding ring on my character's person on every playthrough of Fallout 4. I like to think it's such a powerful reminder of your previous life before the bombs dropped, and what happened in Vault 111. Many people here say they gave their spouse's ring to whomever they romanced during the game but I didn't even have the heart to do that. I always have my character wear the ring they have equipped from the beginning, and my in-game deceased spouse's ring in my inventory. I even do this with the mod Start Me Up. It alters the main story a bit since it let's you start as a wastelander of some some sort outside of the Vault (raider, drunk, NCR Ranger, etc.) where your first quest is to explore the rumors of something happening in Vault 111. There, you'll find Nate/Nora on the ground dead, on the way out of the Vault (which is extra sad given what they just witnessed), with a holotape with the scuffle with Kellog. I looted the wedding ring but refused to sell it nor give it to a companion in those runs, too, because I still feel that same sentiment of it being a reminder of what happened here, especially because you become a proxy for Nate/Nora trying to make sure to find their son so that they didn't die in vain.

But I always keep Alistair with the Runic Worry Token and Duncan's sheild the moment I get it. Zevran keeps these random shitty Dalish Gloves I gave him and the also shitty but slightly less so Antivan boots. I actually had Seaman. Though you could speed up the process by resetting the Sega DC and going into the system settings and moving the day forward one day at a time and mature him faster that way. Or simply set the year forward and the game assumes you neglected him for a whole year and you return to an empty tank save for the cobwebs and Seaman bones littering the bottom. On a side note...
