Could you please look at my definition of faith I am trying to be as precise as possible. Faith: An active trust in a well established (well evidenced) and well challenged belief that actualizes motion and decisions in your life to align yourself with the well trusted belief. Thank you.

N@@thomascherrington596311 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

I’m a 27 year old male that grew up in a loving Christian household, but have always considered myself agnostic and even possibly atheist at some point. I never felt fulfilled though, especially during the times Ive indulged in my sin which includes drugs, drinking, partying, and sex. Ever since I’ve discovered your channel, I can confidently say that it/you have been a useful tool of God to help build and strengthen my newfound faith in Christ. I can’t thank you enough. Prayer is one thing I’ve still been struggling with in regards to mind fog and ADHD, but I’ve really been trying. Overall I can confidently say I’ve been aiming to be the very best person I can be through Christ. Though I fall, I do not stay down any longer and instead strive to do better and better. Thank you brother and thank you Jesus. I will keep you in my prayers every day.

That’s beautiful I wish you the best God bless And I hope you will share the Gospel :) The Gospel according to Paul 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Roman 3 22-28 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

That is actually a really well written example of what a soul is. I have actually died before and was resuscitated later. When I died I went to a void. In this place I was very aware I was just my thoughts and that I was in a void now. I felt extremely peaceful and was just like “well I guess I’m here now” I remember literally feeling in that moment that I was surprised I was still myself! It’s a really crazy feeling. Writing this comment has me quite emotional. It’s actually quite scary to think that I was in a void space. @@esoteric.breadcrumbs.

You're praising a master manipulator for lying and manipulating well. I wish you were able to think critically and see all the misrepresentations and lies and fallacies Lennox uses to manipulate people like you into normalising excusing unjustified beliefs. I'll help you on your way, because I am loving and actually real, unlike your god. Lennox deliberately misrepresents Dawkins' objection to asking who created the universe. The whole point Dawkins tried to make in that debate was that it's presumptuous to ask who created something instead of asking how something came to be. Then Lennox assumed his creator he can't demonstrate is uncreated which he can't demonstrate either and neglects that Dawkins proposed the universe as a brute fact, meaning that it's possible that the universe has always existed in some form or another. Lennox' silly proposition of a creator requires the introduction of non existing energy. The universe does not and there is no indication that it ever did. And that's only the start of this ridiculous conversation of lies and misrepresentations, it only gets worse from there. Everyone who listens to Lennox is dumber for having listened to it. He is the most dishonest and vile person to ever have walked this planet. I wish his god exists, if it's a sincere and loving god it would give Lennox the punishment he wishes on others. No one deserves the burden and abuses of faith. Do better. We all deserve better.

AMEN John Lennox back at it with mathematics and Apologetics 🙏 ❤️ 👊. New Atheism heralded by Richard Dawkins, Matt Dillahunty, Aaron Ra and others has failed and Michael Shermer is speaking nonsense clinging to questions rather than seeking answers. I've been wanting to study Euclidean mathematics as I'm a 24 year old Christian Apologist working as a teacher and counselor so yeah I see unhealthy information being spread through secular and religious beliefs in families and people all of the time which is why I don't always attend church because I'm studying The Bible alone in DA ZONE 😂. I've been watching Christian Apologetics videos since 2020 so these channels are really helpful especially on KZbin and social media. This has nothing to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. What right has this bloke have to spread the message. If you never read the bible you would never have become a Christian. I have never read this influential piece of rubbish and seemingly just 4 percent of Generation Z have read the bible I am reminded of Dale Carnegie's book on How to win friends and influence people. Please allow me to live a life without The bible, Christianity, The creator or Devine revelations, Religious quotes. AI will be the death nell for Destroying your false Faith May your God bless Joe Biden.

Thank you for this video I’d like to share my story if I could. I’m 24 living in willoughby Ohio. I grew up baptized Episcopalian an altar boy in that church and the Catholic Church, went to a Methodist preschool run by sisters, and was confirmed episcopal. I rejected my faith slowly seeing all of the things my parents had chosen to lie to me about and watching my mom slowly die of cancer from ages 7-10. I drifted into atheism/agnosticism until I was 24. Using drugs and anything I could get my hands on to distance myself from god. I started suffering epileptic fits at 22. 3 weeks ago at work after working myself to exhaustion at 67 hours a week I had an epileptic fit at work. The medicine I was taking was draining the sodium in my body causing me to have more seizures. I neglected to mention that I had wisdom teeth taken out so eating was a challenge and I was essentially fasting and on a calorie deficit and lost 11% body mass over 5 days in the hospital. I was put on a fluid restriction as not to pee put the remaining sodium I had left and I was put I a new medicine. The side effects were less appetite and insomnia. Being a marajuana user for the better part of my life and not being able to smoke compounded with this and my anxiety. But for some reason I was calm for everyone else around me. It felt like I needed to be there. So I shriveled up there like a raisin hardly eating and drinking, not sleeping, weening of and on medicine. For 48 hours. Then I go home. At this point in my life I had been very familiar and comfortable with the effects of not just pharmaceuticals in general but auditory and visual hallucinations from lack of sleep due to my ADD and having taken adderall and vyvanse before. My record was 48 before. So I get home at 48 and I don’t sleep. I can’t. So I call my girlfriends and she tells me to pray and ask god and my mother to help me to sleep. I say yes but internally I scoff at her like yeah 58 hours in a bunch of good that’s gonna do I gotta go to the fucking hospital and get dosed or I’m gonna fucking die. So I go to my dad and it’s 4 a.m. and I ask for his sleeping pills and I take one. And I go to sleep. And a voice tells me. Pray. And I listen. I prayed for sleep and to talk to my mother who had been dead for 15 years. Something I had been asking for in vain for 15 years. And then god took me. A second was a thousand years and a thousand years was a second. He showed me a cell and said in perfect English “Look what I did” and it divided and kept dividing. Then he let me talk to my mother for what may have been 30 minutes or 8 hours but when I woke up I was on the couch and I cried for 5 hours. She told me that I have already gotten everything that I have asked for in life and she is right. I truly am one of the most blessed people to have lived I have so many loving people in my life. She told me I worry so much about the wrong things. Worry about the people you love. When you fear god you’re not scared of anything anymore. I absolutely love my life. I love you all and what you have done for me. Peace be with you.💛

“In biology, we discovered the longest word that we know to exist; a chemical word which is the human genome 🧬 3.4 billion chemical letters in exactly the right order with a semiotic, semantic dimension of codes for the proteins & so on. So those to my mind are very powerful pointers that the origin is not less than mind. It certainly well could be more than mind but we fly against every analogy that we know if we are not prepared to postulate mind.” -Dr. John Lennox (Daily Dose of Wisdom).

Those do not point to a mind. Those point to nature. Nature is really simple on the smallest of scales and largest of scales. Nature has an infinite amount of interactions to consider. That would require an infinite amount of computations in a finite amount of time. This is why it’s impossible for the mind to generate physics because even if processed information the fastest speed possible it would fail to produce physics.

@@atlasfeynman1039 The Cosmos is complex not complicated. Complex systems are simple but since they are sensitive to initial conditions they generate an infinite amount of interactions that are impossible to track. That is the reason we cannot accurately predict the weather. You wold have to know the location of each individual particle and every possible interaction to accurately model reality. There is no way to do that because that would require being able to do infinite computation in a finite amount of time which would break any mind. The mind requires bounds to exists. You have a great deal of missing from how algorithms work. There is no way build an algorithm that can preform a hypercomputations because that require infinite space and closed time-like loops. Only the Cosmos can fit those requirements.

Great discussion. Loved it! I’ve always struggled with, if God exists, why doesn’t He reveal more of Himself? Especially if he apparently loves us? Dr. Lennox explains that he HAS revealed Himself. And then it’s easier to accept that 1) we can’t know the bigger plan and 2) perhaps He’s revealed just enough of Himself to be capable of being found by the faithful but not so much as to make it a settled matter, making humanity too dependent, thereby failing to reach our full potential as a created?

@@hrvad Exactly! So with only a single life experience within the larger tapestry of the entire human experience, it’s easy to fall into a criticism of how a perfect God could (or should) create a “better” existence - but we’d not know the faults in that possibility because we’d necessarily never get to see it play out. Like, were He to give updates through a burning bush every 500 years or so, maybe we never get out of the Bronze Age? For a silly example to make a greater point.

What did finally help was getting multiple surgeries, about 160 injections into my face, physical therapy, orthotic devices, very strong medications, etc. Now, people have the nerve to tell me, thank God you are feeling better! No no no... I asked God for help and he left me alone, crying in a car with my pew pew about to end it. I begged God for help many, many times. He never showed up. You mean, thank the doctors and medical teams that invested hundreds of hours trying to help me. Before I got my bachelor's in biology, I was studying to be a pastor, and was taking religious studies, philosophy, and theology courses. Again, I asked and begged God for a sign almost daily and it never came. I had to take a 100 level biology course as part of my curriculum. It was then that I realized evolution wasn't what my pastor told me it was. He made a caricature of it. It became clear he didn't know what he was talking about. In that biology course I learned a lot. Mostly I learned that my church was either lying about most of this stuff, or simply didn't know and were speaking from a place of pure ignorance on these topics. The stuff I was SEEING in science made much, much more sense. And, on top of that, all of it had this stuff called evidence that backed all the claims it made. Religion did not have this and requires faith. After that, I wanted to dig in even deeper to see what else I could learn, or that my church had lied to me about. Again, I don't know if they were lying, or just ignorant when it came to science. That got me interested in learning all of things I thought I knew because my pastor told me, but really had no clue. I would say things like, I didn't come from a monkey! Evolution doesn't say we did either. So, why did my pastor and I keep saying that stuff? Pure ignorance. Everything I was learning in science could be seen by anyone who takes the time to look and actually learn about it or do the experiments. Eventually, I finsished my bachelor's, and was still hungry for more. So, I got my masters in cellular/microbiology. But, I've also read multiple versions of the Bible cover to cover. Most Christians I know haven't done that. It is so weird to me that people will claim to live their life according to a book they've never read. Like wut...? And, I would like to note I'm not making the claim that God doesn't exist. You are the one making the claim a god exists and I'm simply asking you to demonstrate that. Me saying I'm not convinced you're right, isn't the same thing as me saying god doesn't exist. In Court we have a guilty verdict, and a not guilty verdict. There's no such thing as an innocent verdict. Why? Because that would put the defendent in the position of having to prove a negative, and is generally impossible barring very strict criteria. So, you either have enough evidence to prove guilt, or you don't. The defender never has to prove they're innocent. The other side has to show evidence to prove guilt. But, just because they couldn't show enough evidence, doesn't mean the person is innocent. They could be guilty, and just not have enough to convict them. So again, we use the terms guilty, or not guilty. Not innocent, because that would place the burden of proof on the wrong person, and make them guilty until proven innocent. In this case, I'm not claiming there is no God. I'm simply saying I'm not convinced of the claim there is one. I always have to use this for theists to get them to wrap their head around it. Say we have a jar of marbles on a table. Someone walks in and says, I know for a fact that jar has an even number of marbles in it. I ask you, do you believe them? You say, no. I say, so you must think it's odd then, got it! You say, no. I say, but you just said you didn't believe them that it was even. So, you MUST think it is odd. Again you say, no. Do you see the issue here? Just because someone doubts a claim, doesn't mean the take the opposite position. We should reserve our judgment until we count the marbles. In the case here, you're saying you know for a fact a god exists, and asking if I believe you. I'm saying no. That doesn't mean I'm saying there is no God. Again, I'd be in the position of proving a negative, and that's not how logic works. The court system, which is heavily underpinned by philosophy and ethics, understands this. Which is why you don't have to prove innocence. If someone is making the claim you are guilty, the burden of proof is 100% on them to demonstrate such.

@@Rognvaldi why wouldn't I want to believe that when I die I go to a perfect utopia? You don't choose what you believe. For me, you either have good evidence for your beliefs, or you don't. The Bible is the claim, not the evidence. I have a degree in cellular biology. His argument boils down to, I think the odds are too small for a cell to come into existence spontaneously. But, when you have a universe the size of ours with trillions upon trillions of galaxies, each containing billions and trillions of stars, which have trillions of planets in orbit around them. The odds, no matter how small, are still there happen. I am very familiar with his work, I've read a couple of his books, and I assure you, he's the laughing stock of the world of biology. He's no different than a Muslim claiming the only way life can come into existence is with the help of their god. Otherwise, the odds are too small. First, we only have one example of life coming about. So, the real odds life comes into existence on a plant like ours is 100%. The problem is, he has no control in place for any of his concepts, because they don't exist.

@@KevinGDrendel You don't understand the concept of superlatives and comparatives in language in that case. Dumber, would be if we had two things, and compared to the other. In this case, I am comparing my intelligence from before, and then after watching. So, a one to one comparison. It is comparative, and therfore the correct word is "dumber." It also has less than two syllables, and valid for that reason as well. Now, if we used a word like beautiful with more than two syllables, we wouldn't say beautifuler. If you compare more than two subjects/topics, you use the superlative form, more dumb. You can thank me later for the English lesson. Bro, I'm a science major and learned all this in high school. 8:40 I would say that they carry meaning because we invented the word and gave meaning to the word. The word itself has no meaning outside of what we give it. And we give it meaning based on the concepts we want the word to hold. So we observe something happening in the universe, and then we create a word that helps to describe this concept that we observed. And this is how words are created.

I think that's his point though... Meaning only exists because it is invented by an inventor. Concepts are not naturally occurring physical, material things that you see. They are the result of a mind.

Science seeks the answer the how things happen whilst religion answers the why. It wouldn’t make much sense for scientists to sit around in a conference and talk about God in the same way English professors wouldn’t start talking about history and the origin of each word instead they’d focus on the language itself.

"Oxford Mathematician DEBUNKS Atheism For 52 Minutes Straight " Makes one wonder if you know what the term "debunk" actually means.

Acvording to the Oxford English Dictionary: debunk : "expose the falseness or hollowness of a myth, idea, or belief." There is nothing about how long such an expose' may take, especially when the subject is complicated, or in many cases, when there are multiple angles from which the subject can be "debunked".

@@mommadeb49 Well done, it seems you have a firm grasp on the dictionary. Now...tell me in what way Lenny here debunked Atheism, the rejection of the claim that there are Gods and a supernatural realm which interacts with our reality. His argumentation is generally laughable at best. He barely distinguishes between claims and evidence and lists “personal experiences” as his final “proof” for the existence of the God he happens to believe in. The same excuse for a reason, that other believers in other Gods mumble too when asked. Maybe he is a good mathematician, I neither know nor care, his kindergarten epistemology however, is not better than what one would expect of a medieval peasant.

5:24 I'm glad to see that some Christians are starting to understand some of the beliefs the atheists have. And they're starting to understand how things logically follow from these beliefs. John did a good job of explaining how if Christians can make the claim that God is uncreated, then it logically follows that atheists can make the same fundamental claim about the universe.
