I feel for Jamie and I know everyone is trying their best, but all the oil downs really kill the flow of the racing. I feel like there should be a year penalty for individuals who oil down the track. They can’t race next year if their stuff destroys the track. Everyone would triple check everything and make sure every drop of oil is accounted for and has somewhere to go if something happens.
@sirmonkey1985Ай бұрын
yeah that sucked for him. but i'm all for limiting block usage at least in qualifying up to the first round.. top 16/8 what ever the class field ends up being after the first round you then remove the restriction. you get both both benefits by limiting delays and low ET's when it matters, but also forces you to take care of your stuff.

@dumbo3970Ай бұрын
@km6832 most domestic stuff at that power it's not blowing up every pass lol. Brett la Salas car is making more than that much power per cylinder with an oem block and not blowing up every pass. Not really sure what's the argument, honda owners always do this to justify their garbage.
@km6832Ай бұрын
@@dumbo3970 maybe because brett has an extra 4 cylinders but idk i may be wrong. You dont like them so there is no point is trying to reason with you
@dumbo3970Ай бұрын
@km6832 yeah your thinking about it wrong, it's an equatio. its the same whether it's a 4 cylinder or 8. If brets car was a 4 cylinder it would make more power per cyl than a honda 4 cylinder. We're talking each individual hole. The 4g63 stuff is alot more impressive when talking hp per cyl.
@wesley8599Ай бұрын
The engine has much less buffer between the tires, so when they spin the engine feels that force so much more than a solid axle and driveshaft. If a mid engine rear wheel drive car made 1500hp and tried to launch like XFWD did, itd break every time. Understand drivetrain before claiming simple loss, and compare. Jesus.

This talk of "horsepower out of a 4 cylinder" is such BS to be honest. Like - you're comparing the HP from a honda lawnmower to other 8 cyllinders and saying "oMfG tHe HoRsEpOwEr PeR cUbIc InCh"... and then replacing entire blocks and half their components every 2 to 4 passes.
@Two4YTАй бұрын
Obviously you don’t understand how that works, a Honda engine making 1500 horsepower would be equivalent to an LS based engine making 4000 horsepower, not going to live long at that power level either
@sneezinhatchАй бұрын
I'm working on a 4 cylinder that's based off a BBC it will be around 260 cubic inches and making 2000hp a safe tune 3000 hp will be pushing it
@sneezinhatchАй бұрын
That's the way it works through out every size motor no matter the size and how much power there's a limit even in the proline and pro mod motors that only run for 7 seconds per pass everything has a limit. Its the same as it was 20 years ago were 4 cylinders were only making 500 HP and a big ls was 1000 HP, parts will break with everyone coming out with new this and new that's 8 cylinder motors blow up just as much as 6 and 4 cylinders
@lukelafave5300Ай бұрын
@sneezinhatch no you're not.. that would be a 4.3 liter 4 cylinder... piston speeds and mass wouldn't allow that thing to even make 1000hp...
@lukelafave5300Ай бұрын
@boercarlyle actually it's not... I'll put it into a better perspective for you.... 1hp+ per CC... to have an equivalent V8 you would need to make 5300 hp from a 5.3.... HP per cylinder is definitely a very valid metric for explaining how much power these motors make in comparison...
