Pass it on-idea: remove the labels/packaging on a lot of canned food, and everyone must bring a new can to the recipe - and use it of course. Yes there should be both baked beans and condensed milk and everything in between among those cans!

@@TheSongwritingCat imo nobody 'ruins' the dishes bc at this point its part of the challenge to mess up and someone else fix it. i think people tend to blame jamie bc they get frustrated he wastes soooo much time and then he panics and just throws something down without too much thought or effort. hes not good under pressure and neither is barry. they both just panic and do the first thing they think of. i wish people were nicer to them both

I'd love to see the reaction of everyone when James stirs the paella after they've all said not to stir. Oooh... Idea for a new format! Chef Knows Best. Normals cook how they've always cooked, using old wives' tales and whatnot, and James curmudgeonly corrects them.

Given how many people are stuck at home now, think it'd be a great idea to have the next Pass It On be pantry themed. Only use things typically kept in the pantry, or all canned and frozen foods

Order idea - go in order of the amount of items hidden across all the seasons. Possibly for every item hidden they gain/lose an extra minute to make up for hiding things in previous episodes.

Pass it Relay Challenge Idea 1. Take Home Makeover 2. Random Leftovers 3. Cheap Ingredients (discount grocery items) 4. Half Premade Ingredients Picking Order 1. Roll Dice 2. Most buttons 3. Price is Right (guess the price of a random item, the person closest to the actual price goes first) 4. Ooga Booga (You remember that game where someone starts by saying: ‘I went to the shop and I bought…” Then player 2 goes and says, “I went to the shop and I bought (whatever player 1 bought) and (whatever player 2 decides)”. You keep going around the table, the list gets longer and longer until someone messes up the list and they are out of the game.)

Ngl, I love when Ben goes first, because he always underestimates how complex his ideas are, and so when he goes first the homecooks just don't understand what his plan was. It happens every time. Gonna ramble a little, but also IMO I think I might have figured out the optimal order for this challenge: A lot of the best dishes they've ever made in Pass It On (that I've seen) the chef/s were second or third, so they can build off the initial ideas the homecooks have, whilst also correcting mistakes and steering the dish in an overall better direction, but they still have to reign in their ideas a little because there's less time to get it all done and plated up. Going first or last, and sometimes even second to last, can produce some of the worst results because chefs tend to over-prepare at the beginning and the homecooks can't really keep up with their ideas, so important things don't get done until its too late, and when they go last can't really do much to salvage a dish if it's gone completely off the rails. But yeah, I love how chaotic this is!

When I saw the notification, I actually said “oh good lord” out loud to myself, but that turned out pretty decently. It’s refreshing to see one where Jamie knows what’s going on. Unrelated: remember that one (I think it was food waste?) where they picked an order and then had to reverse it? I’d like to see one in that order (before reversal) because it seems like it could be successful. I think it was Ben, Mike, Jamie, James, Barry.
