Pass it on-idea: remove the labels/packaging on a lot of canned food, and everyone must bring a new can to the recipe - and use it of course. Yes there should be both baked beans and condensed milk and everything in between among those cans!

@@TheSongwritingCat imo nobody 'ruins' the dishes bc at this point its part of the challenge to mess up and someone else fix it. i think people tend to blame jamie bc they get frustrated he wastes soooo much time and then he panics and just throws something down without too much thought or effort. hes not good under pressure and neither is barry. they both just panic and do the first thing they think of. i wish people were nicer to them both

Given the outrage (and rage) the last time he tried to make paella (and put it in a burrito), I won’t ever, ever, ever attempt to cook any Spanish dish (or even admit to having tried to cook one) on any social media platform. @@THENAMEISQUICKMAN There is people that don't like the socarrat (the rice stuck to the pan) so they use a non-stick one. And you don't only cook paella in a paella pan, you cook a lot of tipes of rice and noodles related foods in that tipe of pan. Actually the name paella means pan in Valenciano (Valencia) that's why the food is called that way. I hope you understood the explanation!

Honestly i love your content. As a restaurant manager (working in both high end and remedial restaurants) you guys have inspired me to do better while cooking my mid week meals for myself and my kids. When I saw the notification, I actually said “oh good lord” out loud to myself, but that turned out pretty decently. It’s refreshing to see one where Jamie knows what’s going on. Unrelated: remember that one (I think it was food waste?) where they picked an order and then had to reverse it? I’d like to see one in that order (before reversal) because it seems like it could be successful. I think it was Ben, Mike, Jamie, James, Barry.

Pass it on idea: Alphabetical order- Each person has to pick/use ingredients in alphabetical order, the next person picking up where the last left off :)

If you guys usually cook with the leftovers, I'd be interested in seeing that as well. What I've learned from working in restaurants is that staff is a really good indicator of skill. fun, too.

BEN! SAFFRON!!! That's, like, the ONLY other ingredient in a paella that makes it a paella besides the arborio rice (and method). Sigh. EDIT: Thank you James!!

Sorry... Bomba or Calasparra rice. Even long rice is better than arborio. Arborio is too starchy, you end up with rice paste, not rice.
