@cryptomiller57475 жыл бұрын
@Lord Hentai One is intentionally trying to gross you out the other is trying to parody extreme metal to the point of pissing off reggie metalheads who don't understand the irony of the over the top style. I wouldn't exactly say they are the same. Listen Urtikaria anal, gut, methadone abortion clinic, sperm swamp and 2 minuta dreka and tell me theres no noticeable difference. Besides saying they are pretty much the same is kind of redundant when you consider they are all just variants of grindcore, like saying tech death and standard death metal sound the same, like no shit they do to a degree but there are differences.
@whateveryasaypal50225 жыл бұрын
@@cryptomiller5747 from what i've heard there is still not much of a difference of the pitch shifted vocals between goregrind and pornogrind, i've heard a couple goregrind bands that use higher treble pitch shifts like pornogrind, and goregrind is also known for having a more slow-paced, groovy sort of punk style than regular grind; although goregrind does have a slightly more death metal influenced sound (although not really, as the riffing is more punk than death metal; deathgrind is a lot more death metal influenced of course). i will admit i have not heard much pornogrind at all but from what i've heard i feel like gore and porno are pretty much the same musically; although yes the lyrical themes and intention behind them are fairly different

Step one: take norwegian black metal Step two: lower the production values to just above noise levels Step three: add spooky and/or depressing synth Step four: make a song repetitive and long, no less than 10 minutes, with 3 riffs at maximum Step five: add painful shrieks at random places Step six: sing about suicide Step seven: place a camera on a timer and kill yourself in the shot, preferably slitting wrists in the bathroom. If you survive, you're officially licensed to make DSBM and got yourself an authentic album cover! Well done you. Optional steps: no blastbeats, only mid-slow tempo, acoustic passages, inserts of people talking about suicide in the middle of the song. Shoegaze automatically takes your DSBM cred away. Now to make it a humorous video. Should be fun.

Although I love your humorous and (almost) entirely accurate critiques about the quality of (most) Goregrind, I must say that I won't be so easily turned away from it 😜 The genre intrigues me nonetheless, so I'd like to try and see if I can find some high quality gems among it all. If I dont, maybe I can find some other people who want to help me create that, while staying as true to the genre as possible. Who knows, it might even convince some folks that no single genre is ever necessarily limited in its quality, but that this is dependent on the people who produce it. With that in mind and all jokes aside, I frankly find it a little imprudent to make strong, generalizing statements about Goregrind that leave no room for exceptions within it. Because I think such statements possibly have the (unintended) result that *some* newcomers to the genre may be put off from it. This is a loss, considering that a few of them might have been rare, intelligent exceptions, who might otherwise have been interested in it or may even have felt inspired to contribute themselves - e.g. by making songs/albums with higher quality lyrics, audio, etc. Though hilarious, I'd say that if anything, this type of stereotyping can work counter-productive to the development of the genre's quality, which in turn only serves to further deteriorate people's impression of it. Regardless, I had some good laughs watching this video and appreciate your effort in sharing this comical review. Stay brutal 🤘
