Hey, I'd just like to pop in and share that after testing a few different paints, I find the best alternative to Citadel Wraithbone for basecoating is Army Painter Skeleton Bone. Skeleton Bone is a teeny bit darker and warmer, but both Vallejo Model Color Ivory and AK Interactive Ivory are a teeny bit brighter and colder and just seem to basecoat quite worse, taking several thinned coats to get solid coverage. Army Painter sometimes has problems with their warpaints, but adding a mixing ball and shaking around fixes it.

Great video and great effects. Sorry to bring this up again but got to ask about the clarity of the paint colour box at the top left. White text on ivory background is really difficult to read, and a black background for white? Would it be possible to have black text for the pale/white paints? Other than that, great video

At first bigger model can seem like really big and scary projects, it's so much to paint and what if I mess up this and that and so on. But when I painted my first 50mm model I realized that it was so much easier. The bigger model gives more room for you to maneuver your brush, more room for making all the various details, more room to make edge highlights and such, more room from blending. I just find it easier to paint bigger models since the tiny details are bigger... My highlights can be bigger but still look normal because the model is bigger, no faffing around painting tiny unnecessary unseeable crap. Nice color transitions is manageable even for novices. I honestly recommend everyone to give a 50mm or 75mm model a go. I learnt a lot from painting them and could practice things I couldn't on the tiny 28mm-32mm models. Find a big model you like and give it a go, though preferably not one from GW since it will cost you a kidney or two :)
