Palit Jetstream RTX 3070 Not Detected Fix

In this video, we dive into the repair of Palit Jetstream RTX 3070 which was reported as Not Detected by the user. Upon inspection, we found that there was a short circuit on one of the 8 pins. I injected voltage to identify the source of our short circuit and replaced the faulty component to fix the card.

You can get a cheap micro lens that will work for any thermal camera as long as you able to 3d print a housing that will get it easily attached to your specific camera. I used one for seek thermal. Lets you get very very up close and see the details.

this repair's difficulty was normal but only if you have the right tools . if you didnt have the thermal camera i dont think you would have found the fault and that would have made the repair much harder

But if your thermal cam is broken and you don't want to pay again for that expensive gadget as cheap alternative you can use rosin smoke that very sensitive to partial short capacitor

Yes I have that too. Kept it as back-up. I used to use it before I got into a thermal cam craze.

Its complicated on repairman with no tools like me 😅, i have no thermal cam,no microscope, no dc lab power supply, no oscilloscope, the only i had is a hot air, and a tester and some flux, poor me im not lying 😅😢

Any short above 5 to 10 R are difficult to detect. Sometimes low voltage injection will not do anything. You might have to increase the voltage depending on where you are injecting it. For example here I could have gone up to 12v. But the idea is to start with 1v and move up the voltage if you see nothing.

This looks like a marking or batch code. the part number is required. where is this part connected, on which voltage rail is it connect? You wold need schematics to get the part number.
