I'm glad he showcased research with the rubber strap because it looks bad ass with the rubber strap! My 320 is on the rubber strap and I never take it off. Panerai makes incredible watches...I like my 320 as much as my gold and steel Submariner.

Great review. Like you say...once you take a look...try it on...it grows on you. I was immediately drawn to the large, simple sandwich dial design...but now I love swapping out my many aftermarket straps. I keep thinking I want to get into an AP RO...but I always seem to come back to the versatility of all my straps. With a black croc strap it's quite formal...but with a beat up vintage brown strap it's a completely different watch...and quite sporty (good for the beach) with the rubber. And with the new P9000 in-house movements it's hard not to love these new pieces. I DO wish it was a bit shorter on the wrist...but oh well...can't have everything. And PS - for those looking at other high end makers, the power reserve on these is amazing. I have a 72 hour reserve on my "3 days" ...and there is an "8 days" which is almost unheard of for any other luxury brand.

Great watch, house movement, P9002, 2 straps set, included gator and rubber, excellent GMT function and second hand reset, date on 3 o’clock and PR 72hours. Italian design and Swiss movement.

Being able to cover the GMT hand is a very nice feature for when you're not traveling.

i thought a GMT hand moves 24 times in one circle but this one seem to move 12 times (if you know what i mean)!! The reseting secnds hand is SO COOL and useful, that surprised me in a very good way!!!

Ariel insisted I mention this was not a real GMT :). True enough. However, still useful to me since I usually simply track EST with other timezone. Cheers all.

You are right, in that sense this watch is NOT a traditional GMT. More like a second time zone watch.

Thanks for the informative and detailed video. I just got the 1321 model so this watch with a blue seconds hand. I wanted to ask if you have ever had it happen where you pulled the crown out completely to set the time, the seconds hand resets and hacks but when done and you pushed the crown back in, the watch is not running and the balance is still locked? Have you also had it happen where the seconds did not reset to zero but was a few seconds off like at 58 or so? I had these things happen yesterday and it took several tries of trying to set the time for it to finally work. So far time keeping is good but I hope there was no damage caused and there was no manufacturing defect, especially with a brand new watch. Thanks.

Leather straps from TimeRepublic on eBay for ~$60 and alligator and asolumente from Panerai for a lot lot more. Oh yes, movement is P.9002 executed entirely by Panerai in Neuchatel, except the hairspring. Thanks all for watching.

However, you can still see the tip of it ^^ which would drive me crazy. I like Panerai's a lot but I can't get over how thick they are if you buy a watch with their inhouse movements. And paying 6000$ for an ETA 6497-2 isn't my cup of tea :(

Prices on the models with ETA movements are crazy high. Prices on the models with in-house movements are pretty darn reasonable.

@@masgordo Both tell the time well. Argument the in-house is more unique . For instance historically the ETA in a lot of watches from mid to high end!

"If you don't like the GMT hand you can just cover it up." WTF...how about not buying a GMT watch in the first place. Also, how do you tell the 12-hour zone on the second time with this watch?

I love the 1950 style case, but they messed it up when they added that 3 day reserve indicator and the date window. Too busy. Not that I wouldn't wear it though...:)

They also make a version with the power reserve on the dial. Check out the PAM320. Same case, movement, and complications with the power reserve on the back...

I have this PAm 321. The power reserve indicator keeps decreasing despite I am using it everyday to go to work. Is this normal?
@julianschiuma3288 жыл бұрын
Well These watches are automatic watches so they power themselves when Moved. In You Move a lot they gain more power and You neednt wind them manually. You probably dont move a lot at work and thats why the power decreases
