Hey pan fairly new subscriber few mo ths but bin a fan of John for years my only question is does this product only way of being applied to be rinsed of or can you work the product into the panel like a quick detailer then rinse off would this not solve the problem of uneven coverage ?? Dear Pan. One question if you use it as the "flex wax or any spray sealant" without rinsing it is not goint to work? Does need to be rinsed as appropriate? We can not used it a a drying aid? Spray 2 3 4 sprays per panel and then using a microfiber towel to wipe the excess water? Please let me know! Thanks

I’m disabled and mobility is limited, I bought the wet coat for my car that’s had pretty much no protection for the last 4 years, I’ve not been well and money has been tight, I recently managed to give the car a wash and noticed that the water simply sat on the paint barely moving, I sprayed a few short sprays on a panel at a time and jet washed it off and to my amazement the water jumped of the panels like it was allergic to it. I even managed to dry the car off because the Gyeon Wet Coat made it so easy. Next time I’m up to it I’ll try and give it some protection too. Awesome video with easy to follow information, this video was the reason I bought the Wet coat, thanks for making my life that bit easier 👍

I have been using this on my wheels since the inception of the product. Definitely helps keep my wheels cleaner longer. I believe this was recommended by Pan in 2021 products award. I did find that Wet Coat was a bit tougher to apply to dark paints without leaving streaky dark high spots. Hence what it did to my Tanzanite Blue BMW i4 e-drive. I had to level with Gyeon Prep to reduce dark spots. BTW, It's so great to see Andy again! Really makes watching your channel fun! I love Gyeon products. Great branding and super reliability! I have a Berlingo which I have a real world coating test on. Some of the panels, like the hood, doesn't have any protection. And I can tell you: The hydrophobic properties of the coating started to wear off, and I used Wet Coat as a topper. My gosh, the beading on the already coated surface was insane! It was good on the un-coated hood as well, but on the coated surface it also seems to last a lot longer. I noticed the same on my dad's Honda which was coated with Avalon King. The slickness became so insane that my drying towel almost fell off the hood. Great stuff!

Thanks, Pan for another great video on an excellent product. I've converted over to Gyeon products for my maintenance care on my coated black car. I use Bathe+ for the wash and really like how well it has amped up the hydrophobicity and gloss of my ceramic coating. I am now going to add Wet Coat periodically as an adjunct topper for my coating. I also use Gyeon Foam at a 4% PIR for the prewash and like how well it pre cleans the car without being overly harsh on the plastics and rubber. Gyeon products are not cheap but they do deliver very well on what Gyeon claims they will do and I very much appreciate that. Also, thanks to you and Yves for those great tips.

Carpro is much superior too. Gyeon wetcoat doesn’t offer any true protection against UV rays like Carpro Hydro o2 does. Also Mckees hydro graphene is another good product and has lasted me 6 months on a daily driven car that’s parked outside that offers UV protection

I just tried using Gyeon wet coat as a stand alone product. It made my car shine. 2 days late I had a bird poop on my car. I use pressure washer to rinse my car before my wash. The poops just slide off. This is an amazing product. After using car was your practice. My shampoo and rinse bucket is barely dirty. The dirt is already wash off before the contact wash. Always a great video when Andy does a cameo. I love this product. I use it as a stand alone on my 5th wheel. I apply it three times a year and it seems to provide the protection I need. The biggest benefit I see is it only takes me about 15 minuets to get around my 5th wheel. As far as the "self cleaning" properties, after a travel day, there are always a lot of bugs on the nose cap. With Wet Coat, the bugs simply rinse off with little to no scrubbing.

I have been using Gyeon Wet Coat (I purchase the Essence and mix it myself with distilled water) in my shop for well over a year and it's something I also use on my personal 2022 Mazda CX-5 Sport. I live in Eastern Canada which has extreme Winter conditions and it's lasted months per application. My vehicle is also white pearl with black gloss trim which any detailer knows, is hard to keep clean. The self-cleaning properties are real as I can truly attest that my clients' and my own car stay much cleaner for longer. Great product and review Pan. I look forward to the continued installments on Gyeon.

There is a reason why I buy this in 5l jugs 😂 it is truly a great product ! I usually start with the roof and work my way down. Also to be on the safe side do give an extra rinse on adjacent panels. We got our Mustang Mach-e i november and it has literally been minus degrees every day since and the first thing I did was to take the car from the dealer to a self washing bay and added wet coat and gave been running it as the only protection since(have a car with r-compound tires in the garage and don't want to be sitting in minus degrees). Now that the weather is warming up I'll do a proper prep and add ceramic coating (Gyeon Mohs). But only running on wt coats has been working well during winter here in Sweden.

The only downside was once when applying it outdoors it left behind streaks on the flat surfaces like the hood. G'day Pan, since you introduce this product dor the first time, I have been using Wet Coat on my wheels including inner barrels, that keeps the wheels that much cleaner and easier to wash. Recently viewing John on his Forensic Detailing channel where he also used Wet Coat on his paint work. Due to our unseasonal weather during summer and now autumn, washing the car has not been as frequent. But using Wet Coat as a quick protection like what John showed, just allows for the car to remain cleaner in between the long time periods of being able to wash the car, which is outside 24/7. Only the other day Yvan on his DIYDetail channel was demonstrating a similar product and gave a pro-tip for rinsing on vertical panels. Normally detailers work from the top downwards, but Yvan's tip is after applying product to rinse from the bottom up, that way product on the lower sections is not being washed onto the ground but upwards on the vertical panel for better coverage and protection. Cheers from Down Under Oz.

@@PanTheOrganizer depends. I tend to use it with a a couple of light sprays per panned when it’s wet then quickly swish around with a microfibre. If I do that then it lasts a few weeks. If I’m taking more time and apply on dry l paint and buffing off it will last maybe 4-5 weeks. U.K. weather so wet but not cold like you have. Have the concentrate which have mixed with some echo in water in a large spray for a drying aid but now just sent to spray this on and het off, then a final rinse in 0ppe. It’s a very quick maintenance finisher. I do keep it off the main windscreen as with some other screen coatings it can smear.

I know you're not supposed to do it, but I've started using Turtle Wax Seal N Shine this exact same way. Apply on wet car and rinse off, and it seems to work great. I have tried a bunch of different products, and it didn't work, but Seal n Shine sure did
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 4 ай бұрын
Odd as Turtle Wax specifically states not to use it in that manner as you could run into streaking. If it works for you, then I guess this is of no concern.
3 ай бұрын
@@xpally944 I tried this on a ceramic coated black car and it streaked pretty badly. This method with seal n shine on my grey vehicle hid the streaks on the paint (if they were even there) but the side tinted windows looked so bad under certain light. I’m a window stickler and I had to polish them to get rid of the streaks and then reseal. I bought full in to seal n shine at the start of covid because of Pan and Brian and other detailers and would buy it by the case on Amazon. I have two bottles left before I move to wet coat. But I no longer apply seal n shine on wet cars.

You shouldn't use more than two sprays per panel really. The water will take care of spreading the product around. Work panel per panel. Spray, rinse. Move to the next panel. Same principle applies to all spray on rinse off sealants.

Because as you can see, I am one of the rare big detailing channels that actually replies to viewers' comments, every single day. I can spend up to four hours daily replying to the thousands of comments. Plus, I get DMs on social media, emails, etc... It's simple for me to see trends and get a good overview of what people like, what people use, what protection people have, etc. I actually interact with my audience. Also, I have options to make surveys, and I did one a little over a year ago on what my viewers had for protection on their vehicles, and overwhelmingly the answer was a ceramic based protection. I hope this answers your question.

Thanks for this review. I'm about 90% Gyeon in my detailing cabinet. Q2 MOHS Evo, Can Coat, Q2 Wax (going on next detailing) as well as Bathe, Foam, Restart, Prep, Ceramic Detailer, Cure, Q2 Matte, Interior Detailer, Q2 Leather, and Q2 Tire. Made the switch from many other brands last year when they did the big reformulations. Wonderful products that make detailing a pleasure. Haven't used the reformulated Wet Coat as I still have some Hydro2 left, but I'll revisit it now!

Pan how is this different that the P&S bead/dream maker combo, and could I use both or is this situational?

I don't recommend using more than one drying aid or topper after a wash. You can't guarantee chemical compatibility and could run into streaking issues and overloading products. And there would be no real benefit in doing so. Pick one. Use the other after another wash. WetCoat is very different from the BM/DM combo, as WetCoat is a spray on rinse off sealant. BM/DM isn't. So WetCoat is quicker to apply and will last 1-3 months on average. BM/DM has higher gloss and slickness, but will only typically last 3-4 weeks. Try them and see what works best for you.
